I imagine they will be used for routes under 10 hour. 28 lie flats is less than I expected, but my guess is they will be used to less premium destinations in Europe, Asia and probably replace some 787s into Africa. WAW, CGK, FIH etc. https://www.executivetraveller.com/news ... irst-class Interesting the green feature tone is new to the brand. Hate the fact there are no curtains for F - maybe this is just the mockups.

Well it's only five planes, and presumably they'll go to ABX or ATI.

Let’s not forget that American should be looking to relaunch DFW-LIM and Delta might want to extende the season run of SLC-LIM. How can you tell LATAM will ever serve IAH from GRU first? Why cant use from LIM or SCL to IAH? UA dont have more 787-8 and mostly use at IAD and ORD for somewere else. Because that’s their current strategy. If you will, I can complement my statement: Under LATAM’s current strategy, if they ever entertain the possibility of flying to IAH, it would be from GRU first. That has been their traditional strategy. However they seem to have big plans for the XLR from LIM to North America, assuming they can reach an agreement on the transfer tax fiasco.
Lol, a non-event tbh. MH doesn't operate into MAN naturally it will take some time for the ops back in Malaysia or even in LHR to get someone on the ground to sort out the accommodation, unloading baggages etc. MAN was inundated with many diversions on the same day. Moral of the day: don't take a comedian seriously. He is not even funny, and cancelled by locals after he supported a Singaporean comedian who made crude jokes on MH370. MH370 and MH17 are sensitive topics in Malaysia.

As a (now) retired 1st responder , working in manhattan, I can't tell you how many times low flying planes anywhere near lower Manhattan causes many people to go into a panic. I realize this was in Colorado but still the similarities are very real.

Like some dumb sports influencer is going to do some dumb thing on United cuz they have starlink. Awesome. Let's hope that all the influencer traffic goes to United and I don't have to sit on a plane with some idiot with a ring light across the way from me. It would make me very happy if all the influencers went to United for starlink so they can stream their drivel faster. Even if the Delta product is just as good. That's an interesting way of looking at it. I suppose UA and others can have all the bloggers and gamers who can't go more than a few hours without playing XBox or their Nintendo switch

Seeing how the ACMI industry operates, it'll probably be 22 Air. One company disappears, another one pops up. I say that in jest.... Well ABX Air has been around for 46 years, since it was Airborne Express, Air Transport International has been around for 48 years, including its original incarnation, 38 years just as ATI. Their parent company has a significant mro operation, which grew out of airborne's own in-house maintenance operation for its Airline. I don't think anybody would argue that these are not serious operators, and picking up five planes between them, if that's what Amazon chooses to do, would be relatively trivial. Take 21Air out of the mix and look at who the Amazon carriers are. Hawaiian for the a330s, Sun Country for the 737s, ABX and ATI for the 767s. I don't see a bunch of fly by night operators, I just don't.

I don't see a bunch of fly by night operators, I just don't. And I'll say something else about safety culture. It may well not be true anymore, but at one point, ABX's Captains very proudly followed a tradition of the Captains all agreeing to endeavor to function almost identically in terms of what their cockpit expectations were, so that an FO would have essentially the same experience regardless of who was the captain. This is hard to do when

She outranked the CW who was her instructor pilot, and in combat there's no question as to who bends a knee to whom, but in peacetime in DC where things are very complicated, that mismatch made him in my view significantly overly deferential to her. And you get a bit of that from what we know. I think indicting all Army rotary Wing aviators, many of whom are exceptional, based on that stupidity is probably unwarranted. You described a scenario which seems to be very similar to MIA - junior FO with more time on 767 commenting on approach being bad... And then proceed to a carbon copy of "first in her class, exceptional pilot" rhetoric pushed by some clowns after DCA.. The family and friends always argue that their loved one was the world's most exceptional and cautious pilot. Sometimes that's true, most of the time it's not. And the issue here was not how cautious the FO was, it's whether he had enough of a pair to stand up to the captain. If it turns out that the FO was the PF, then the captain was the world's weakest captain.
