Hi all Can anybody recommend a good barbel float rod. Was looking at the mark tunley but would like recommendations on others Thanks

Harrison 12ft 3 piece Specialist custom built rod by Kevin Baynes of Anglers Workshop. The rod is in 3 sections with a shorter butt length with 2 longer lengths and has a full cork handle, Fuji reel fitting, a hook keeper and comes in rod bag. The rod is in good condition but does have previous owners name on it. Collection only or can pack in tube if you want to arrange your own courier. £150

Anyone still using sweetcorn or am I in a minority ? I was fishing the Severn at the weekend and didn’t have a tap for two hours. I then got a small tin of corn out and flicked a few pouches out. Over the next 20-minutes I had two barbel in the landing net. My mate was shocked. I must admit I don’t use it much on small rivers but I always do well on it on the Severn / Wye.

I purchased 2 packs of Drennan mini lights (2 in each pack) a few weeks back for £1 each pack. Then last week came across a non branded version on the Temu website for £3 for 40 sticks so i thought sod it for £3 they are werth a look . They were delivered very quickly i opened 1 to give it a try and it is still luminous after 48 hours . I had planned on having a day trotting for barbel today, but unfortunately that river was too high to wade out so the barbel fishing session was aborted. I decided to visit another river where I could fish from the bank and target chub. Hi. Selling a Speedia deluxe , the 3 position ratchet one, in very good order. This one had had another set of brass pins professionally put in about 8mm above the original ones which makes for a bigger drum size which aids reeling in , this has been done very well indeed , no wobble or rubbing when spun the foot has been cut back to enable fitting on modern reel seats , some paint loss but a very nice unique reel , £85 + £5 postage
