I have most of the throttle linkage issues resolved but I have an unusual one that I have to deal with now. First of all my car likes to idle at 1500 to 2000 rpm.Way too high I know .If i lower the idle to 1000 rpm the car will stall out. Other than that the car runs fine and the plugs are a nice tan color. I can give the gas pedal a quick kick and the idle will drop from 2000 to 1500. I have tried adjusting the idle screws on the carbs but to no avail. Say I'm going 20 mph...I can take my... Read more

For the upcoming road trip to Lake Tahoe next June for "Healey 75", it's been suggested that we purchase GMRS radios. I didn't know that these existed until yesterday. Anyone have any experience with them? Here's one suggested bundle from Midland. The radios are either 15 or 50 watts. I asked Midland's chat bot for a recommendation and it suggested a 50 watt radio with a 3 dB antenna. Double the money of the suggested bundle.

Anyone experience an annoying rattle coming from the hood or front apron on their car especially at start up or low idle? All related bolts seem to be tight?
i have a 1959 TR3A - every time I fill up the fuel tank - someone stops me to tell me my car is leaking a lot of gas especially when accelerating and going around shard turns/corners. Is the overflow pipe supposed to go somewhere specific to avoid this issue? I’ve tightened all the clamps and can find no leaks anywhere else. After using about 1/4 tank of gas - there are no more leaking of gas until I refill again.
I just installed new seatbelts in my '73 TR6. I'm not happy with how they extend/retract due to the friction of the belt moving across the top of the seat. Has anyone installed the seatbelt guide that attaches to the headrest stalk like the pics below? Do they work? Your thoughts.... Thanks.
I am currently chasing a poor vacuum issue, and along my path am into the bypass valves on the carbs. 1976 TR6 Vac retard. I am a bit confused as the gasket that mounts the bypass valve to the carburetor has a section missing between the two ports? I understand that: There is a signal port (the tiny one), A port on the manifold side of the throttle plate, and a port on the Carb side of the plate. When the manifold depression exceeds the setting the valve floats and allows more air from the... Read more

Hi All, Does anyone have step by step instructions they can share? I understand the only way out is through the cockpit, not dropping it from below. More importantly, what tools has anyone used? I do all my own work on the car with extensive set of tools but, I am 62 years old with somewhat limited access to helpers, so this maybe a solo job. I saw someone made a transmission hoist here: If anyone in the States has access to one, I will gladly pay to have it return... Read more
