Hi guys, Just wanted to pick your brains regarding Light Carbon framesets. I am planning to put together an endurance bike as a project. My preference was to acquire second hand Trek Domane frameset(aluminium or carbon) simply because of the wider tyre size option i.e. 38cm. However they are quite expensive so after some online research I came across the above Chinese manufacturer offering aero/endurance frame sets in carbon at around £700. They are mainly OEM but also offer DTC(direct to... Read more

I know there is a gallery section, and forgive me if I'm wrong in posting this thread here, but I thought since it's "photo specific" to folding bikes it might be OK. If not, please delete the thread, as I have posted these photos on a thread within the gallery forum. I just thought it would be nice to see everyone's folding bike. Anyway, here's mine:
Hi, I've been thinking about buying a ebike lately and today whilst out cycling on my non ebike I started thinking about random things( as you do) and somehow started to think about the average life of an e bike. If reading the tinterweb is anything to go by, an ebike battery will last somewhere between 3 and 5 years before it starts to lose it's range. Cheaper bikes may also suffer from displays screen/motor/or general electrical problems. The simple thing is to buy replacement parts ,but I... Read more

I will start the ball rolling. Lily, our ginger long hair. (She has currently got 3 male cats after her one jet black, one pale ginger, and one black and white. The black and white one hass actually been inside the house).
Long story short....... I've been using a DIY gearchange comprising 'capuccino' mounts with Shimano bar-end indexed shifters for the last 12 years. They have given a good and easy change with hands on the hoods. Recently one of the detents on the RH lever packed up, and I don't seem able to get a replacement (only pairs, and expensive). I was hoping to dismantle it and effect a repair, but it's peened over so any attempt to repair will render it useless. It's 3x7 speed (8 will also work)... Read more

I know I've added a few vehicles that fit the title, but had to put them in the 'Classic Car' thread, this may be an apt receptacle? I saw this VW, as l left work at 22:15, this evening A curious colour scheme
Hi, Long time cyclist, amateur mechanic and general bike nerd. Preference for endurance, adventure riding, cycling alone and finding the path less travelled. Being on a bike is my happy place and I’m looking for a community that is closer to my usenet days than social media (which I opted out of 10 years ago). Hoping for some interesting discussion, exchange of information and hopefully can help some people along the way. Cheers.
