Lawnmower plot 2026

Buckwheat with chicory, clover, alfalfa and wheat coming up underneath - spray, throw, mash. Notice I said mash rather than mow. It’s my new way of doing it.

Concordia Oaks

Hello, I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to get my hands on a few Concordia oaks ( Quercus × introgressa ) for a couple years now. I have done quite a bit of grafting in the past on fruit trees and oaks and am thinking that may be the best route to go. Does anyone have any mature Concordia oaks that would be willing to cut and sell me a few scions? All that would be needed is a few pieces 6”-12” long of last year’s new growth that is roughly the diameter of a pencil and has a few dormant... Read more

Food plot attachments

Hello all, I am new to the whole food pot game and am just getting started. So I am based out of finger lakes area hard clay rocky soil, I have about 75 acres total and am going to be doing about 8 food plots some smaller kill plots others maybe larger. I have a 3032e John Deere and am in the market for an attachment to help prep plots. I already have a tiller but ground is way to rocky and hard for tiller we normally use for you garden. I was interested in the kunz chisel plow as a... Read more

Property Layout Question

***NEW POST BELOW (AERIAL PHOTO) WITH CHANGE TO LAYOUT BASED ON ACQUIRING ADJACENT PARCEL - APPRECIATE FEEDBACK OR INPUT!*** Hi, I'm not sure if this belongs here or in the habitat management thread but I'm looking input from hunters. Been following the site and property tours for a while and finally joined. I’m looking for feedback on what I’m thinking about doing with my land. I’m in upstate NY (near Syracuse). It’s 75 mostly flat acres with no significant food sources (farms) around... Read more

Introduce yourself

In conversations with a new member I found that we seem to not have an official place to introduce yourself. So with that in mind I thought I would create such a thread. Share with us whatever you would like. I also invite existing members to do this as well so new members can have some reference as to who some of us are.

The Massey

I figured out how to post pics to this forum finally, so I figured I'd begin a thread here. I did this once upon a time on the outreachoutdoors forum, and when photobucket went paid-only I lost a lot of content. I swore off doing something similar ever again, but since I can post from my computer without an intermediary, we'll give it another shot. Rather than going back in time over a decade, I think I'll just begin in the here and now. Unfortunately, I haven't been photo documenting much... Read more

"Whitetail Hollow" - 90 Acres NE Oklahoma.

Hi folks - a bunch of you knew me as Kubota over on the QDMA site and may remember my land tour thread. I am going to try and get it going over here now... It all started off with my Aunt and Uncle buying the property in 1976. It is a rectangular 80 acres that runs S/N in a pretty much unbroken forest of around 3000 or so acres. The property has a county roan that splits 15 acres off the south end from the rest. The N neighbor has about 30 acres of land they cleared MANY years ago that they... Read more
