Issue with Rhino.Geometry.Mesh.IsPointInside()

Thanks @Roberto_Neto for the test. I’ll see if I can help either cases. How much is speed important in your calculations? If it’s a matter of succeed-or-fail, we can probably give you two different functions (fast and simple vs slow and precise).

Mapping patterns to a body – is ShapeMap the way to go?

I downloaded the new version and it looks promising – I’m looking forward to trying it out properly later. It’s great that the sleeve pattern is matching at the seam, but I’m still not sure how to go about lining up the tiling across different marts of the mesh. Is there something obvious I’m missing? I’ve changed the MoudleCount number, but that didn’t really help. Also, would this method only work with a square grid tiling? If I was to use Parakeet’s tiling system (e.g. “snub square” I used in the last example), is that possible? Thank you!

How to have brick pattern alternate and make wave in wall

Thank you so much, really appreciate you taking the time to have a look! I’m not at my pc at the moment so I’ll have a look later! Also yeah I agree that it is a difficult precedent!! I didnt have too many options as I had to choose from a list of precedents provided Then I regretted it after I found a lot of the tutorials I had a look at tended to just rotate the bricks depending on the attractor and I was just like thats not really what I was after… and then i had to factor in the alternating bricks thanks again for the guidance tho

StructuralDesigner3D vs. Kangaroo3D — What is the difference?

I have recently been asked how StructuralDesigner3D compares with Kangaroo3D, so I thought it would be interesting to share a comparison from three different perspectives: 1. Structural Possibilities 2. Workflow 3. Numerical Analysis Before going into the comparison, I would like to acknowledge the important contribution of Daniel Piker and Kangaroo3D to the Grasshopper ecosystem. Kangaroo has been an extremely influential tool for interactive form-finding and physics-based modelling, and its flexibility makes it a very powerful environment for exploring physical behaviour. 1. Structural Possibilities The first important distinction is the scope of the two tools. StructuralDesigner3D is currently a more specialised tool, focused on structural form-finding. At this stage, it allows the generation of: • Funicular structures • Tensile structures • Pneumatic structures Kangaroo, in contrast, is a much more comprehensive and general-purpose physics-based tool. Its framework allows users to simulate and combine a much wider range of physical phenomena, constraints and interactions. This difference in scope is important when interpreting the comparison: the two tools overlap in some structural applications, but they are not equivalent in terms of the range of phenomena they can model. 2. Workflow The second difference concerns how the user interacts with the tools. Kangaroo operates within the Grasshopper environment and provides a highly flexible framework in which users can combin

Unjointed Geometry with Curve

Yeah, obviously. Did you not take the time to read what I wrote? I disclaimed that this is “just a start” to the script. The path concept does not need to be changed at all, simply extended to the first ring of polygons, which I excluded because they are three sided and need to be handled differently from the rest of the rings. This should be wholly within your abilities to complete now, as you have both the overall concept, and sample code showing you the approach.

R9 difficult editing text

Martin Siegrist: Have you tried using annotation styles? Yes, but as for I remember when I selected texts from 2 or more different annotations styles, it din’t work.
