Hi all, Located down in Surrey, England...i stopped riding 25yrs ago, had the wife and kids and now want to get back out to see the countryside so finally got my dream bike (a Duke with the exhausts under the seat)....but it's turning out to be a bit of a pig! While it only has 10K on the clock, it's still a 16yo bike where nothing has ever been undone, so i'm battling the rear shock bolts at the moment and nothing will get them undone - tried everything in this post already:... 848 Was The 50th B'day Present To Myself

I guess these bikes are become less and less popular on the track. I have a brand new Nitron R3 shock for an 848/1098 that is generating very little interest. It's brand new, so I'm not wanting to give it away, but what's the going rate of used parts these... Value Of Race Ducati 848/1098 Parts

This is more idle interest than 'going to do' but I'd be interested in some expert opinions. I've heard of Ducatis being converted both ways, so I guess it's possible. Although some call it unsophisticated, I've always liked the Ducati dry clutch, cos it's a sweeter action than the wet clutch, which seems like every Japanese bike I've ridden. And I hate that clunk going into first. But there's surely more to it than adding an oil seal and a different cover (?). Are the casings, clutch... Clutch Conversions: Wet To Dry, And Vice Versa

Sometimes in the circular part of the dash a key and a battery and it ssys low . I have changed batteries several times with new ones . Has anyone come across this or experienced it,? I used to keep the phone and the key in the same pocket, but i read thats not a good idea, so even with the phone in my Jean's pocket and the key in my jacket pocket it still happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated, T I.A.

Hi All. leaking fork seal.. easy job right? I am stuck removing the top, already bought a flat 32 spanner, heated up to 100 C.. first time electric second time with gas burner... They are stuck and won't budge a mm....already damaged one... Fork oil refresh 5 years and 4000 km ago by dealer mechanic and friend the chief nitpicker in front of my nose.. so he definitely did not overtorque them... Anyone? Thanks in advance... Cruise control seems to be intermittently playing up. Scenario - Cruise set at 60mph, increase throttle a little to go quicker so now at say 75mph, hit the "set" button to change the cruise speed and most times, as it should cruise speed will now adjust to 75mph but on occasion when releasing the throttle after hitting "set" it just stays at the 60mph causing engine braking to kick in which is not handy in lane 3 of a motorway with flowing traffic. New to me. Silver. Issues are, clocks are crazed, should be a picture attached. The immobiliser sometimes doesn’t switch off when the key goes in and I try and switch the bike on. Roll on the summer. View attachment 355620

Friends, looking for a clean 998. Ideally a Bip. Mileage unimportant, but needs to be a well-maintained bike with recent history. Bit of patina is cool, fully intend to ride it regularly. Many thanks!
