Hey fellas, I finally got around to working on the Cub to get it setup for winter. I got the old radiator off without breaking any bolts. They weren't very tight at all, barely hand tight I'd say. Problem is I have 5 short bolts and the rest are longer. Where do the short ones go? Should I reuse the old bolts even though they appear to be in good shape? I cleaned up the holes with a tap and ran a die over all of the bolts. Also is there anything else I need to check for replacement while I... Read more
Evening folks. Was cleanin out some old photos this weekend and came across one of me sittin on dads Cub, must've been 8 or 9 years old. Hit me harder than I expected. We sold that tractor back after dad passed. Times were tight and my mother needed the money. I understood then and I understand now, but Lord, I wish we'd found another way. Anyone else out there sold one you still regret? Ever tracked yours down years later? Curious to hear.
Happy birthday, Gary! I hope you have a great day. A big thanks for all you do for the Cub community.
Has anyone out there put a 13-in steering wheel on a Farmall Cub with a 3/4 in keyed shaft reason is I'm a short fat guy and it's hard to get on the tractor with the stock steering wheel
I thought I would tell some of my experiences with Lucas oil products. It's not actually a tool, but it can be used on equipment and tools. I know, some people don't think much of additives but I've had it worked pretty good for me. One of the semis I used to own broke a wrist pin about five hundred miles short of one million miles. If you've never had that happen, I can tell you, it makes bad loud noises. By some miracle the rod did not touch the cylinder wall. I had been changing the oil... Read more
Hi, I am working on starting up a 1964 International Cub Lo-Boy, the square hood, yellow and white one. What spark plugs should I use? I see in the owner's manual it should be gapped at 0.023 inches, but I was curious if there was a specific Champion equivalent that needs to be used specifically. Thanks in advance for the help. Tom
A bit early to think about gardens for 2026 but it is good to start getting seeds/supplies on order or in hand! Our onion plant order went in Nov. 1 so that has been taken care of. Most of our seeds will be saved seed. Sweet potato plants will also be home grown in the greenhouse here. Regular potatoes will be the leftover basement stock if we have enough by planting time,--- if not we will buy a 50# bag of Kennebec and 10# bag of Red Norland (early eating). tomatoes and cabbage will be... Found on Facebook. I have heard that a Cub can fit in the back of the pickup but this looks like an A!
