Author: Xaltar Subject: ASrock B860I Wifi Won't post with RAM kit Posted: 01 Oct 2026 at 3:41am Good luck, let me know how it goes.
Author: feeskies Subject: ASrock B860I Wifi Won't post with RAM kit Posted: 01 Oct 2026 at 3:10am Thanks, I tried that already, forcing the voltage to 1.4v and also 1.1v. There is a new firmware released today (3.40) so I flashed it and tried again but still not working. My only option is to wait and hope for the tech teams to look at my support request and hope they can send me a beta bios.
Author: Xaltar Subject: X870E Nova WiFi A6 POST code freeze Posted: 01 Oct 2026 at 2:37am Thanks for the update. Sadly with SSD prices so high still there are a fair number of scams and returns that end up back on the shelf. Good luck with the replacement.
Author: DeniDoman Subject: X870 Steel Legend POST issue Posted: 01 Oct 2026 at 2:24am I will. Enabling LN2 helped, now it's stable. What a joke! Reddit post with this workaround was created a YEAR ago. Half a year ago the official support asked to enable LN2 and check. But the problem still exists. For those who come after: Advanced\AMD Overclocking\(Accept)\LN2 Mode -> Enabled
Author: gannik Subject: X870E Nova WiFi A6 POST code freeze Posted: 01 Oct 2026 at 2:22am Hi, Just an update: maybe the Samsung 9100 Pro is the one with the defect. Today I managed to try connecting it to another PC that was already working, but it wasn£t detected during initialization and caused that one to crash as well. Tomorrow I should be able to try a 2TB Crucial T710 SSD that I was able to get my hands on at the last minute; I£ll keep this post updated if anything comes up. Thanks again.
Author: Xaltar Subject: X870 Steel Legend POST issue Posted: 30 Sep 2026 at 1:34pm Thanks for the info DeniDoman. It may be worth opening a support ticket with ASRock and linking to this thread in it. Every configuration and specific detail will likely be useful to them.
Author: DeniDoman Subject: X870 Steel Legend POST issue Posted: 30 Sep 2026 at 10:15am ASRock B850M Steel Legend WiFi - same issue. I noticed it before, but after 4.43 it become much worse. I need 4-5 attempts to start the PC. I tried: - Plug the monitor into GPU and internal GPU - Eject my GPU - Eject both SSDs (including bootable) - Disconnect all USBs - With and without EXPO - Disabled memory training saving (e.g. it trains every start) - Reinstall CPU (visual check showed no issues with the CPU or socket) - Try with 1 RAM module in B2, then another. Same for A2. Nothing helped. But after it starts - works hours under heavy load, no BSODs, no issues. So, I'd say it's some memory-related BIOS startup issue introduced somewhere in 2026 and degraded even more in 4.43. Please investigate and fix asap, this is very annoying. My build: - ASRock B850M Steel Legend WiFi - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D - GeForce RTX£5090 32G VENTUS 3X OC - G.Skill Flare X5 64 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 32 GB) - F5-6000J3040G32GX2-FX5, EXPO - MSI MEG AI1300TS

Author: Xaltar Subject: ASrock B860I Wifi Won't post with RAM kit Posted: 29 Sep 2026 at 11:53pm A BIOS level fix could get it working I suspect, given it was supported on the 700 series. In all likelihood the model simply predates the 800 series so was never tested with it. I have seldom seen manufacturers go back and validate new hardware with their older products. As for BIOS settings, your RAM kit is rated at 1.4v. I suspect your board likely defaults much lower than that. You can try bumping the RAM voltage manually to 1.4v and see if that gets it to wake up for you. Obviously you will want to disable XMP/EXPO to allow the system to use JEDEC values instead (enforced standards). Good luck
Author: feeskies Subject: ASrock B860I Wifi Won't post with RAM kit Posted: 29 Sep 2026 at 11:43pm Nice catch on the Patriot site. With your experience, do you think an update of the UEFI will be built by the ASRock engineers £ I wonder if I should wait or just resell the kit and buy another one. By the way I tried already 1 stick at a time on both banks with no luck. I waited more than 10 mins also. I'm surprised that even at lower speed it won't post. Maybe a specific setting could help but there are so many.
