I’ve been neglecting to update here, so here are my more recent catches. On the closing hours of Go Fest I caught Chespin, by some miraculous luck (I only caught 2 shinies from the wild in the entirety of the event, despite lots of walking - seriously, I broke a personal record in the weekly distance just to try out my luck to the most - I will probably not be doing that for wild area, from what I could see at first glance that nonsense of shiny boosted pokemon only being active in the paid version will return…). Anyway, I like Chespin’s colour, I think it’s my favourite from its evolutions so it will stay this way for quite some time. This beautiful shiny Milotic I got from a trade (a second shiny Feebas for me) and look how glorious it is: However, this pretty thing I caught yesterday is absolutely tied for awesomeness! I can’t believe I finally have a shiny pidgey, I’ve been wanting one for so long and, after more than 630+ encounters, it’s here! I’ve also caught another shiny Zangoose and surprisingly a second shiny Kecleon ! I think it was from the same pokestop as last time, maybe? I will definitely keep a special eye on that one whenever possible, just in case this chameleon took a fancy to that area … (28 encounters so far / 26 caught = 2 shinies / this seems pretty great to me!)

I didn’t know about this pokemon until the new register came along, so it was a complete surprise how it would look and it’s so good. I love the design! In this line of evolutions (Horsea, Seadra and Kingdra), it almost feels like it could have been the 2nd stage with Seadra as the 3rd. It works great the way it is, of course, I just think it happens to fit the other way around too, as a lot of pokemon get an “angrier”/wilder look when they reach the final evolution and Seadra is definitely angsty… I finally completed the research for Celebi:

Is it really a monthly recap as they claim? The numbers only seem to increase each month. I can’t possibly imagine 2508 users having interacted with my Wayspots in one month to be honest.

Just to add something weird: My beedrill no longer has a background? I remember seeing it when I caught it, but now it’s gone? There’s nothing there at all. I even thought I had accidently transferred it, but the date confirms it, this one without the background is the one I caught yesterday… Has this happened to anyone? I’m pretty sure it had one, since I compared it mentally with Lopunny (that had one) and with Raichu (that didn’t have one, both raids I did). I wish I had taken a picture of that part, now I’m second guessing myself…

Mega Beedrill can be soloed, too! Even though this time I had more seconds left, I felt like I healed more times and I only won on the second try (I had Charizard as my mega before and it was taking too long). This mewtwo with future sight is out of this world, that’s the main thing. Hopefully they won’t nerf this anytime soon (is that the word? I hope so) Anyway, I got one with the background, which I like very much, it feels like a little reward. *A small note: I prefer to fight in raids with more people, it’s a lot more fun (everytime I experienced that in special events I find it very exciting, everybody joining efforts to fight a creature), but I also like trying certain pokemon to see if it can be done alone, as a small challenge, and basically to know which raids I know I can participate in without being dependent if I can find more people or not) I also like trying out raids against powerful pokemon (if I happen to be in the area) just to see how many people it would realistically take to defeat it (I see the damage I can make and calculate the rest). It’s good to get a more clear estimate this way as not to waste passes/understand how many people I need to wait for…

It’s heeeeere! I cannot believe it! I wasn’t expecting to encounter it so soon after last time, it popped up almost immediately after I used the daily incense. (WHY is this thing hidden in the inventory now? It’s absurd) I don’t know what’s happening, my luck with the birds must have returned, because I hadn’t seen one in many, many long months, only to have moltres appear a week ago, zapdos mocked me this past sunday and now moltres again. 3rd time is the charm and I used my masterball on it. I regretted it a lot not having done this last time because Moltres is my favourite of the birds and the one I was missing (and for what I now consider silly reasons, but perspective/distance will do that to you, I guess) and decided I wasn’t going to risk it again. With this beautiful creature, the galarian trio is complete! Now, I will not specify ivs (I can’t even remember them, they are that good!), but let’s just say that if it had been 0/0/0 it would have made things at least more interesting… But, hey, it’s here and that’s the most important thing for me. It is gorgeous and will stand proudly in my collection. On the way to best buddies, too!
