KEXT Driver Not Found by OSX on Startup

I'm running a UFX3 with the kernel extension driver firmware 21 driver 3.39 as this is the lowest latency and I have found to be the most stable driver. My Mac is a Mac studio running recent versions of Tahoe. The issue started 6 to 12 months ago only very occasionally. You would boot the Mac and everything looked like it had booted up perfectly but there was no audio communication between the computer and the interface. If the interface had live inputs from its last used state, they were still working so the interface was passing hardware inputs to hardware outputs. It just was not receiving any audio from the computer. The adopted workaround has been to just go into the USB settings and toggle the sample rate and all of a sudden audio would start to pass again as expected. After communication is fixed, the system is 100% stable for hours or days at a time until the next time this cold boot issue occurs. Initially it wasn't annoying enough to even report but in recent months the issue has become more prevalent possibly up to 40% of cold boots the problem occurs. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. PS: I also run a Mac mini M4 with UCX2 connected as a live keyboard rig with the same OS and driver versions and this system has not shown this problem. Kind regards

Use of VST host with TotalMix via loopback

Hello! I am interested in using Steven Slate Audio VSX software with TotalMix and a FireFace UCX II: https://stevenslateaudio.com/en/vsx The standard use case is to insert the VSX software on an output buss in one's DAW but I'd like to use it with TotalMix. I have multiple outputs from the FireFace UCX II configured in TotalMix going to different destinations. I'm going to send the optical S/PDIF output to a Topping headphone amp to which the VSX headphones will be connected. I'd like to use a VST host like Audiostrom Live Professor in conjunction with the TotalMix loopback functionality to host the VSX VST plugin. That way, I could audition audio through the Slate VSX software (via Slate headphones) while leaving the other outputs unaffected. Does this make sense? If so, are there any recommended approaches? Any further suggestions or recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help! All the best, Iver P.S. I have no idea why "ADAT user" is next to my username. :-)

TotalMix FX 2.1 Global OSC – Motorized Fader Controller

Hi RME, I’m currently using a Fireface UFX III on Windows 11 with TotalMix FX and ARC USB. I’m planning to buy a **Softube Console 1 Fader Mk III**, mainly for mixing in Cubase, but I would also love to use it as a physical controller for TotalMix during tracking. If this workflow is possible with the new **Global OSC implementation in TotalMix FX 2.1**, I would also be happy to move my system to version 2.1. My tracking setup is quite simple. I have two separate headphone outputs/submixes, and I would like to have fixed physical faders on the Softube controller for: 1. Vocal 2. Playback 3. Reverb return 4. Delay return 5. Click I want each physical fader to control the same source level simultaneously in both headphone submixes. For example, moving the Reverb fader on the Softube should increase/decrease the reverb level in both headphone mixes at the same time. The Console 1 Fader Mk III can operate in a generic MIDI CC mode, so I assume this could potentially be done through a small **MIDI ↔ Global OSC translation layer** between the Softube controller and TotalMix. For tracking, motorized feedback is **not essential** for me. Even simple one-way control from the Softube faders to TotalMix would already give me exactly what I need. However, it would **of course** be fantastic if bidirectional feedback were also possible. For example: **ARC USB → recall TotalMix Snapshot → Global OSC sends the new fader values → Softube motorized faders move to the corresponding positions.*

Failed firmware update DIGIFACE AVB

Please help! This morning, I was testing a setup for a record next week. I received a message from "RME AVB Controller" which popped up saying incorrect firmware. I thought it strange but downloaded the latest firmware from RME "fut_df_avb_mac_272" (I'm running OS 15.7.3 on a silicon M3). When I tried running it, it actually said failed. The unit whenever I now plug it in quickly flashes the led's then goes really really dim (Not off).....I have tried unplugging, different ports etc as per a search. Still nothing coming up! The flash update app doesn't even load now. I'm also running a UFX3 on the same machine but am trying having unplugged everything just the USB cable to the MacBook. Nothing. Is it bricked??? I need it for Monday Here is a link to the video. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/xxlrnzng … g&dl=0 Tried different cables too
