Most of the way through Horizon Zero Dawn on my PS5, what a game, right up there with The Last Of Us titles. Definitely going to get the new Horizon when it’s released. Anyone else gaming at the minute?

I’m having a short break in September to the IOM . I’m going to take my clubs and have a round , I know Castletown is highly regarded but is a bit spenny but I’m not discounting it but. can anyone recommend a good cheaper course ?

My personal best round is the 78 I shot last year Today I shot 77 but it really doesn't mean much The 78 was on a par 72 The 77 was on a par 68 So you can see why I regard the 78 as my PB I count number of shots over par for PB, not the number of strokes taken On tour they go nuts for a 59 regardless of whether course par is 73 or 70 A 62 on a par 73 doesn't get anywhere near the same attention as a59 on par 70, so par doesn't come into it for them it's just total strokes How do you... I realize there is plenty of golf left and many of you play multiple courses, but do you you know your ringer score this year? My course is a par 71 and through August I've made one eagle on our first hole and birdie on all but four of the other seventeen. That puts me at 56. Here's hoping I can go lower before my course closes on Dec. 31 for a ten month restoration.

Played Hartlepool for the first time yesterday. On two of the tee boxes there was a sign saying “anyone attempting to drive the green must have a forecaddie“. Both holes it was a blind tee shot. Never heard of a forecaddie before. Is that a thing, and how do they differ from your common or garden caddie?

Our competition entrance fee's for medals, pro stablefords and board comps have remain unchanged since I first started playing in 2009, £2 entry and £1 for the two's, with a couple of charitable events each year with a higher entrance fee. We are considering increasing this for 2027 and wanted to get a feel for what other clubs charge. So what is the normal entrance fee you pay?
