I've always liked her. I've an album of her singing standards, I bought forty years ago. It was a change from that of her songs she sang with Vinegar Joe. She recorded this, a cover of Chris Rea's track from his album I bought when it was released, I've also the single in one of my jukeboxes. But I found her version on a single on eBay for a fiver, so I bought it. I might swop them over in the jukebox for a change.

Our most used tool in the garden is the bench in our sitting place. This is the place where great plans are hatched and tea consumed, bikkies nibbled on and wildlife observed. Now then, for some time we noticed that a dove has been flying to our pergola— nothing odd because Larry does that all the time; however, he usually sits on our side of the thick Wisteria foliage. Just thought it might be nice to share what we've been up to , places we've been to, hobbies we've found time to enjoy etc. We tend to stick fairly local these days, although we still have a car we both don't drive anymore. Living where we do we are very fortunate to be in easy reach of a lot of the South Coast and London is only a short and easy train ride from here too. Still wrestling with post surgery healing this year we have taken things at a slightly slower, easier pace.... When not attending to garden tasks what other things have filled your day?

On my usual walks alongside the beach, I ran into someone interesting yesterday. An elderly fellow, from a family of fishermen.
