Good morning friends!! Another day, another way to scam people. This one looks SO LEGIT, it even had me fooled for a bit. If you get an email like this regarding an account that isn't yours , just ignore it. And if you see ANY Google link that starts with " sites ", it is most likely dangerous . If it came from someone you know, please CALL them and confirm before clicking. People are using a LEGIT Google service to create malicious sites. So as always... be careful what you click .

Why do I keep trying? Over and over again, I keep beating myself up with this question. No matter how many different ways I try to work things out, I always keep coming back to the same conclusion: there simply are no answers. Recently I bought a package of very strong magnets for my eBay business, using them to hold posters and pictures open so I can take pictures of them without the posters rolling back up on themselves. Yesterday afternoon I sat at my desk, idly playing with two of the magnets. Placed far enough apart, they are simply two small circular pieces of metal...tiny and insignificant...but as soon as I begin to creep one of them a few inches toward the other...the laws of physics take over and instantly they snap together, sometimes with such force that it actually stings my fingers. The amount of work that it takes to force those two tiny magnets apart is unreal, it almost feels like they're glued together. And I guess that's a fitting metaphor for how I feel about my wife. Apart, we're just two tiny insignificant specks...both of us lost and alone...fighting against forces that neither one of us truly understand or fully comprehend. But the other day we were able to have our first real conversation in several months...and during that magical hour and 40 minute conversation...I remembered WHY I had chosen this woman to be my wife. Just imagine this scene for a moment: An 82-year-old father is sitting on the sofa with his 50-year-old son. The father has grown old. He is a little frail now, slower, perhaps also more forgetful. Suddenly, a crow lands on the windowsill. The father asks: “What is that?” “A crow, Dad.” A few seconds later: “What is that?” The son is already becoming a little impatient. “Dad, it’s a crow. I just told you that.” Then the father asks for a third time: “What is that, my son?” Now the son loses his patience: “It’s a crow, for goodness’ sake! How many times do I have to tell you?” The father says nothing. He goes into his room and comes back with an old notebook. He hands it to his son. “Please read this.” The son reads: “Today I sat on the sofa with my three-year-old son. A crow landed by the window. My son asked me 23 times, ‘Daddy, what is that?’ And every single time I answered, ‘That’s a crow, my sweetheart.’ I took him in my arms and stroked his head. I was grateful for his curiosity. It was a moment filled with love and warmth.” The son reads... and falls silent. Because now he understands. He was that little boy. Back then, he had asked 23 times. And his father had answered patiently 23 times. Now the father was old. And suddenly, the son’s patience was gone. Isn’t that something we should all stop and think about? As children, we need an incredible amount of patience. Our parents explain things to us over and over again. They help us. They wait for us. They listen to us.

I met a man on door to door on a Monday afternoon. He seemed nice and has a belief in God. I wanted to go back on him so I tried at different times on different days for months but it was always his wife I had in. I preached to her when I met her and she listened well and she agreed with many scriptural points in raised. Then after about 4 months of trying every week, I found the man in! It was an evening on a Friday and he’d just got back in from work. He said “Would you mind calling back tomorrow at 12pm?” I said “sure.” I kept my appointment and he was in! He said “come on in.” He said that his wife had told him about every time I called when he wasn’t at home and he felt bad for keep missing me, so he was super pleased that I called when he was in. It turns out he is a born-again Christian and became one in his twenties. He had a few bibles open on his table when I went in and he tries to spend a bit of time that he has when he’s not working. He’s also dyslexic so he says he was able to get better at reading because of reading the Bible regularly. I just listened to what he was going through. A lot in his family is going through illness at the moment, including his wife. I mentioned that I would keep him in his prayers. That first visit, I spent three hours there. We exchanged numbers and arranged another day at a specific time. One of the issues he raised was the blood issue. I would like to present this single HTML file web application for generating customized Bible-reading schedules. You can generate your personalized reading plan with links to JW Library or WOL . You can then open it (pop out) and save (download) to preserve the current checkbox state. Have a look at the GitHub repo for more information/features, or test/use live: BRiSA . The categorization and chronological ordering are constantly being refined/improved. Also, more languages will become available as translations are completed. So keep an eye out for updates (in the repo). As always, suggestions/observations very welcome.

But for some, reading can be a real challenge. Concentration difficulties, ADHD, dyslexia, or simply losing your place in a long text can make it harder to get through the material. That’s why I’m developing Ezra Reader : a dedicated reading app designed to make digital reading more comfortable, focused and accessible. It's specifically intended for JW articles. Ezra Reader is not intended to replace any of the Bible study tools or publications provided by the organization. It is simply an additional tool, focused on helping people stay concentrated while reading. The reading technique behind Ezra Reader is based on the successful SwiftRead app, adapted with our own reading and study needs in mind. The app is open-source and currently under active development.
