Ahh….ski season is nigh.

its nice to see how stoked you are to ski at Camelback this year, when just a few short years ago, PA sucked, and Hunter was the spot.

Heard they were adding a 4th trail and naming it after you. Any guesses what the name will be?

More info posted on FB: “The trail under the Black Bear will be largely untamed, we are leaving its natural contours and drops so it provides the unique experience of variation it is known for by those of you who have already taken that line. I anticipate, in favorable weather cycles, that trail will receive little in the way of grooming. The blue square will be by far our narrowest blue, it’s surrounded by pine trees, and will twist and turn into Sphinx. We really like this trail, not just for its uniqueness, but because it takes pressure off Honeymoon Lane. You can now ski Upper Cleo without having to drop into Honeymoon. There will be a hot chocolate hut 🛖 on the trail too for an added fun element on weekends. The double black on Stevenson probably goes without saying how fun that will be. The top drop will be from the Cliffhanger side into the lift line. It will be on the narrower side and while short, will have a Vermont vibe to it. It’s going to be next level after a snow storm. Each of these trails will receive full snowmaking capabilities. They will not be receiving lights so anticipate them to be open until 4 pm to 5 pm most days until we can go later in the Spring. Each of these trails will likely receive close to last snowmaking priority as we will work to get the main arteries open first. That being said, our hope is they add unique options and character to the mountain for years to come! “

In case you're wondering about blue... "Blue Mountain Resort will enhance its nighttime skiing with 315 new LED lights and continue to invest in its snowmaking infrastructure, the release says" Hopefully that will cover the whole hill. Should make for nice night sessions when the after school crowds and bus groups aren't there

Awesome effort by Camelback adding 3 new small runs after having had a record breaking run into May - very happy with my decision to support these guys to augment my Indy sounds like they may leave some trees on the new blue run which would add some nice variety to their terrain

Too bad Spring discontinued their S’mores Pizza - a big fav of my kids in their learn2ski days hard to believe they are off for sophomore year at college

So, the double black will be right under "Bra and Panties Tree" on this map. hopefully, they name it that. The second trail, a Blue square, will connect "always icy" to Big Pocono. Third trail is a Black from "new fake double black that is really a green" to john henry. Kudos for doing something other than plant trees......but really just some little connector trails they can turn snow guns around from other trails to put some snow down. But do they now have more trails than Democracy Mountain? Yes, in the spirit of ongoing distractions from more important things, and renaming things, i have renamed Blue Mountain. Change all of your GPS settings, because waze told me they were no longer going to recognize the other name. Google should be falling in line shortly too. and i heard from many people that they are saying its a great idea, like 400% of the people say they are on board by 250%. But honestly, we would get pretty excited if Democracy Mountain was to cut the stumps down under the new 6, throw some snow in there and let it bump up. that would be a big time double black.

Pretty cool. Sounds like 3 connector type trails but still pretty cool.
