Battery Replacement

Has anyone tried to replace the battery themselves. The stop/start function rarely works as my battery has no doubt lost some voltage and I don’t do that many miles. I know where to find the battery but do I need to get a dealer to reprogram the car afterwards or case the battery??

PCCM upgrade

Hi all, another simple question (I hope). If I get the 997 I'm looking at, it's fitted with the original PCM and I'm really keen to upgrade to something with Android Auto. I know the Porsche PCCM upgrade exists but all the docs suggest it's only available up to the 996. Is the 997 that different? Is there an alternative Porsche upgrade for early 997s? I know they're expensive (though I can get the one below cheaper than the design911 price), but I'd much rather go with a Porsche product... Read more

GTS 4.0 battery

Inconsistency by OPCs on warranty is a feature of Porsche network, see my experience starting with post #143 Friday, March 03, 2023 0:40 PM My GT4 is late March 2022 Another Cayman I have sold my GT3, with 3 OPC’s bidding I got £9k more than I paid 10 months and c5k miles ago, such is the appetite for stock. I'll obviously miss the engine, (did I mention the engine?), that special PDK, learning a different track driving style and the theatre of the car. Still I got in 8... www.porscheclubgb.com

Hydraulic brake switches

'82 911 SC Hi guys Both brake light switches are U/S. How do I access the rear switch? It's obscured by the vent box and I can’t see how to remove the vent box. Any advice / videos would be much appreciated Tony

Windscreen washer bottle filler pipe possibly detached

I have a warning come up every time the car is started stating that the washer fluid is low. If I pour water into the filler, it pours straight out onto the drive. I suspect that the filler pipe and washer bottle are no longer connected. I have looked at the relevant parts catalogue diagram and am wondering if either the grommet has perished or been pushed into the washer bottle. Is this likely to be something I can rectify from inside the luggage compartment alone (I have slim fingers) or... Read more

Front End Factory Fit PPF

I have 992-1 Targa 4 GTS with Factory Front End PPF Fitted, code ASV It's lifted in places around the front indicators / parking sensors. I wondered if anyone has made a claim on a similar problem. I understand the factory fit is XPEL which has a 10 year warranty. Not sure which route to take to get fixed, any help much appreciated.

Aircon malfunction 992.1 C4S (2019)

The aircon on my C4S is refusing to work. The fan does work, but just blows air. Using the PCM display, the A/C ‘button’ does light up for only for a second or two before disappearing and the ‘A/C off’ message appears on the dash. Any suggestions for an easy fix please? Or is it inevitably a trip to the dealer? Many thanks

Creaky Drivers Seat?

My 992 C2 has developed a VERY annoying loud creak down by my right hip when accelerating, going round a corner and over any bumps at all. It has just been into Bristol OPC for a few bits (to sort out Porsche Connect STILL not working, a rattly speaker cover and replace a TPM sensor) but they cannot replicate the squeak and say there is nothing to fix. Has anyone else had this? I'm a heavy guy, 6'3" and over 110kg, the seat is low, reclined and almost touching the back seats. Perhaps they... Read more
