My position and money management in the gambling strategy is based on the SP500. If it goes further down I soon must buy something. As there is absolutely nothing in sight I must double down on an existing position. That is the bad part of my concept of charging a rent every 12 months. The good part is that it keeps me moving and creates spending cash for me. Some of those double positions did make me a lot of money, like Supermicro.

I’d even say, given the fact most people buy a battery that’s too large for them anyway, the battery will likely outlive the car - even on very low range battery models.

There will be some that will pay US2K for a foldable iPhone, but not me. The new A20 chip that powers this and the 18 Pro and Pro Max does look very, very good. The surprise was the new iPods - with no price increase!

The only travel insurance I carry is medical, and that because I mostly travel to the US. Never had to put it to the test (knock wood) so I can’t evaluate whether it is worth it, or not. But knowing the cost of a US ER visit… Travel disruption is pretty much a given these days, so I buy fully changeble or refundable tickets. I used to buy travel insurance to complement a less expensive ticket but the one time I needed it all I got was ‘computer says nooo’ so I decided it wasn’t worth it.

Hi Tom, Thank you for your reply, it’s in the India now I have my husbands surname on my renewed passport. I contacted the Swiss migration and they told me to change it on b permit, but it can only be done in Zurich. So I’ll have to travel with the different surnames on passport and on B permit. Hopefully everything will go alright

3Wishes: On the topic of travel and leisure - any good stocks in that area right now? I like VICI – we discussed it a couple of days ago here . It keeps getting cheaper …

I think Booking is fine for things like hotel reservations, but for flights I find that the actual airline site is worth it even if a tad more expensive. Travel plans can and do go wrong, and it’s far easier to rebook on an airline’s app than calling a customer service line for a 3rd party. On the topic of travel and leisure - any good stocks in that area right now? I had thought with everything getting more expensive there would be a dip, but it seems even Americans are travelling in record numbers this summer.

I had a look at AXA, their website online talks about cancellations due to “war and natural disasters” but I’m more concerned about IT systems going down, strikes etc. or delays causing missed connections. Not sure if those are covered.
