What rates/plant stand do you all target for wheat, oats, barley, canola even hybrid fall rye to reduce lodging risk. Is 140lb of barley on 10 inch spacing too much? According to the rate calculator we may be better around 115-120? The soft wheat we grow doesn’t lodge much the oats are terrible not sure what an ideal rate is on them and next time we grow canola is it better to go like 3lb or 5lb for lodging?

So tried our AF10 with 50 foot header recently on green peas. Averaging 50 I think for this quarter. Ranges from 40-60 bushels peas. I must say it’s a phenomenal machine so far. Very quiet and smooth. Got up to 6, 6.5, 7 mph sustained. Throwing many pans and out to the side. Sometimes zero peas, often one pea. Most ever was 2 peas once. its was hard to get up that fast because always worried this must be chucking. Incredible, really clean too. couldn’t believe it. That would be over 8mph...
