Buying existing tractor with property

Might be buying some land and a house soon and the seller has a tractor for sale also with it. It's a Mahindra 2615 4wd that's probably 15~ years old and has 500~ hours on it. Has a loader and tow behind mower. I'll need a tractor eventually, just not sure it's something I want to spend money on right now and I think I'd rather save the money and buy something else in the future. Found a couple for sale on tractorhouse for 10k, but not sure one what would be a good offer and frankly if I... Read more

Hello

Have some tractor questions. Going by the name of the forum I think this is the right place.

Sealant for PTO seal?

I have a small hydraulic leak associated with the PTO seal. However, it doesn’t seem to be leaking at the shaft where the seal and the spring ring are. It seems like it’s coming between the seal and where it’s pressed into the PTO housing. I need to pull it all apart and maybe I’m wrong but nonetheless, is it recommended to use RTV around the seal itself before it’s pressed into the housing? The seal isn’t cheap, and it has a rubber coating of some sort. Seems unnecessary to seal atop... Read more

One arm loader cylinder replacement

Hello I'm new to the forum and am working on a 1955 Ford 900 with a one arm loader with a trip bucket. The breather screw is stripped and leaking hydraulic fluid and i was wondering if anybody knows of a modern replacement cylinder that will work for the application. I've searched on the internet and went to a few tractor and industrial suppliers near to me, but have come up with nothing useful. I could probably get the original ram rebuilt, but would like an off the shelf ram with better... Read more

Landpride At2572 bearings

On a landpride at2572, would the spindle bearings be open or rubber seal? Never messed with this, and just had a lower bearing blow out. Figured I would ask before I ordered the wrong ones! It looks like they are 6206 bearings. Also, does the brand matter? Thnx

Front end loader

Hi All, I have a Yanmar 187D that I would like to build a front-end-loader for, where can I get a pattern?

Filters for a 2023 CK3520SE Cab

Recently purchased Transmission, Hydraulic, and Fuel filters for my tractor. Fuel filter EH35-0011A matches what I have listed $93.03, WTF!!! The transmission filter is a T5855-46351 which also matches what I have listed. The hydraulic filter purchased is a T4260-38125, which is different from what I have listed as T2185-28031. Which is correct? I wish I could find a parts list and service manual to download for this thing!

187D 4wd not working

A friend of mine has a 187D FWD. His front wheels will not engage now. The 4WD lever turns the rod that goes into the transmission, but when you shift in to 4WD the front drive shaft does not turn. So, presumably, the problem is in the transmission area. He's worried about the possibility of a rather large repair bill if he takes it to the dealer that has serviced this machine over the years. So I thought I'd cast out a few questions here to see if anyone here has dealt with similar issues... Read more

How to tell if clutch is stuck?

We have a John Deere 870, 1994 with low miles. We went to use our tractor after it had been sitting for a month or so and we could not get it into gear while depressing the clutch. I took the cover off the side of the tractor to see the clutch and when the clutch is depressed I can see the clutch move in and out. When the tractor is started with the clutch pushed in the clutch assembly rotates with the engine is this normal? Should the clutch be stopped when the clutch is depressed and the... Read more

Drop Spreaders?

Hello folks, I don't know about spreaders, I have no personal experience with them, but I've got a client looking to buy one and he would like some recommendations. Client will be using a Kioti CS2530 cab unit (19 PTO horsepower, 7 gpm hydraulics) with turf tires, chains, front blade, and rear-mounted drop spreader. Spreader can not throw; client would like to limit size to 48" in width. I've got access to most any major brand through my distributors, but that means nothing with my... Read more
