This looks great to me; just the sort of thing I'm likely to use for engine sheds etc. I look forward to a release. If you want to give it a try - here is the complied NewGRF file in the attachment. But use at your own risk, as this is far from finished yet and graphics IDs might change in the future, which can lead to corrupted displays. RailDepot.grf

New attempt with the watertower, which is now much more "chubby" - still not completely satisfied with the shadows on the actual water tank at the top, but it's definitely a step in the proper direction
I built a light rail line, but unfortunately, the railway didn't work out.Of course, on a grade-separated viaduct.
You see, I couldn't fence off the parking lot.
You could even do one per tile, as long as they’re smaller. Don't forget about the fence—we've been waiting a long time for that. It will also look great on the sidewalks in front of houses—there won't be any need to lay down paving slabs, for which there is often no room.
Hey, I ABSOLUTELY love your work. Been playing this version for many years over the vanilla. First time im talking in this forum and I hope you still take suggestions. My suggestion is that you would upgrade subsidies to stuff like grants in example: - Grant for updating station in city (like adding tracks) - Grant for creating connection between cities that will have condition like having min speed or max time to travel between - Grant for transporting min amount of people in city Hope these would be too hard/impossible to make. Modifications of this type are part of the game script.
I try to avoid sharing lines into stations because it gets messy when you come to upgrade to monorail and maglev so just being able to key a description against the platform would be good for me

A new neighborhood with townhouses and greenery in Chicago.
Not a bad idea. It would be nice if the user could also choose: which cargo can be loaded on each platform and possibly which cargo can be unloaded on each platform However, I guess this feature would impact pathfinding and other systems such as orders. For example, when sending a vehicle to a station (and why not implement this for trucks, airports, and docks as well), the pathfinder would have to choose which platform to use based on the cargo being transported. But what should happen if the vehicle carries both mail and passengers, and one platform accepts mail while the other accepts passengers? The order selection logic would also need to perform the same checks, and might even require the player to choose which cargo to load/unload depending on the available platforms. It sounds like a lot of work… Or you could simply allow players to “name” the platforms, then let orders specify which platform(s) — from 1 to X — the vehicle is allowed to use. The pathfinder would then only route the vehicle to the selected platform(s). I guess the way the truck/bus stops are working could be generalized to any cargo and with some chance, to any vehicle station type.
