Ferry v. Tunnel

Normally travel by ferry though did tunnel once just to experience it . I know many on here only do tunnel . I've always been put off by price . Looking at travelling in October , price difference less than £50 ! Has tunnel got cheaper or ferry dearer ?

Irish Citizen travelling in EU with British Spouse

I’m Irish and my wife is British. I believe under EU law my right to a family life exempts my wife from the 90/180 day rules. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone in a similar situation, but with first hand experience of how they have found travelling over 90 days with a spouse who is not an EU citizen Have you had any problems at borders or with passport control? What documentation did you need to provide? Have you any practical advice to offer?

Wild camping again

It seems I've just forked out another twenty quid for a site I never use. I joined in twentysixteen for camping sites in France which was useful subsequently I've tried to use it in UK but your recommended sites always seem to be full with vans that seem to think it's OK to stay along time.so I stopped using. I thought I'd download the map again and yet again I've rediscovered the reason I stopped in the first place, the site is over complicated and most of the links don't work. Forgive me... Read more

Fitting a Radio in habitation side

Help. I am fairly clueless about how to fit a radio into my m/h on the habitation side that I can use when parked up. There is a 12v (switched) supply in a cupboard where I could put a radio/CD/usb/Bluetooth unit. I would like Bluetooth so that I can use my sony speaker unit (BOSE type) rather than fitting speakers. My question is - would a standard car radio be ok to use as there are none of the bits in the cupboard that usually go into the back of a car radio in the dashboard?

Interesting PVC

Not sure about the swivels, dangly feet one side, fridge the other, but the rest is quite good if a bit plain, and too much carpet for me.

Fogstar are currently (sorry) offering the above with a 15% discount if anybody is interested? I expect @barryd will snap up 2 or 3.

Toll road tags

Scrubbing Ulys because accounts dept will neither accept payment or answer my many emails . Trying to sign up with either Bip and go or fulli . Bip and go will not recognise my home address. Fulli already have my email from previous time . Tell me I must log in . Then tell me not valid , account has been closed . Emovis may be easier but they don't do Italy. Going off my nut . Apart from 'seek professional help' , any suggestions?

Microwaves

I know, it's been discussed many times, however the technology has probably moved on. I'm thinking of using a microwave in the van, and would like a freestanding one, to be put away when not in use or travelling. I already use an air fryer. Would like info on pros/cons of these combined jobbies, microwave/grill/oven and whatever else they throw in. I remember reading about not getting one with a glass turntable, makes sense. Can't imagine energy consumption will be an issue. All info... Read more

Good news / bad news

The good news is the gearbox is fixed. Dont want to tempt fate but no complaints at all so far. Bad news . I noticed the offside rear tyre seemed a bit low. Down to 25 psi Good news. I have a little compressor for the new air suspension So could pump it to 50psi at least. Found tyre repair place. Bad news. This tyre is knackered mate. What. It is only 2 years old. Its got a crack right round its circumference. The other back one doesnt look too good either. And we dont have any stock. Well... Read more
