I'm pretty much laid up and tired of watching tv and playing on my phone, can anyone recommend a good book? Self improvement, business, fiction, biography , it doesn't matter. If it's something someone here found interesting I'm sure I can relate.

I know I haven't been around much here in the last year but it wasn't because it got boring for me. I pretty much got rid of all social media, I felt like it was eating to much of my time and just trying to trigger me and keep me mad at stuff. I honestly can say I've been more at peace since deleting my Facebook. I was still peeping in here every now and then just not interacting. Hopefully everyone is doing great and catching fish! 😂😂
I've consistently had one or 2 birds at the feeder(s) all summer. This morning I've got 4 or 5. Here they come!
Put a Garmin Stryker fish finder onto my new kayak this morning. Printed the attachment plate on my 3D printer....but...too short. Printing another one now. Too d@## hot to go try it out. I know you guys think I'm crazy saying it is HOT here in TN..but..91 degrees HERE (feels like 101) isn't what I bargained for. Soon, this too shall pass!
Coming up on what would have been my dad's 100 birthday and feeling a little nostalgic. As it is, he passed when I was 18 and I thought I knew all I needed to know from him. Man, was I wrong. He managed to get into the Navy during the waning days of WWII and wound up on a LCS (L)(3) class warship island hopping in the South Pacific. Sadly, all I know of his adventures, I had to glean from his records and official records of the time. I was able to find his dog tag and keep that. He... The Greatest Generation

I see in the classifieds that someone is selling a Merc 9.9. I know I predate a lot of you guys, but there was a time when a 9.9 on a Jon boat was the go-to starter boat for lots of people. I can't even imagine how many thousands of pounds of fish came over the gunnels of those boats. Back then you had to learn where the fish probably were, and concentrate on those areas. There wasn't any blasting from place to place at 60mph. BTW, my first rig was a 12 foot Jon boat and 6hp Johnson.
Don’t forget about the tournament. It’s 10 days away. Both youth and adult so bring the kids. Proceeds go towards mentoring youth on fishing and nature conservation.
Well gentleman I'll be having my ACL & Meniscus repaired on the 31st. I've had both knees scoped for meniscus repairs but this will be my 1st ACL, hopefully I'll be back on my feet ready to go for some October fishing.
Just an update from one of the OLD guys. We spend Summers in TN. Good fishing here, but not like Salt water fishing. You can predict what species you catch. I went Striper fishing with a local guide who I have fished with both in TN and in Florida. The Stripers here hang out below the dams and the TVA has plenty of them. While most of our ... 7... 20/27 LBS Stripers were caught on live or cut bait, my favorite guide Billy tied on a top-water for me. I had 6 great blowups and I... Got a note that I have been missing...
