I’d been searching for a speaker delete / blank plate so I can fill the hole when I remove the speaker before parking for a while. Came across this: https://www.printables.com/model/1228986-toyota-tacoma-jbl-flex-speaker-delete-blank-4th-ge Printed it up in ASA, and it works perfectly in the 4Runner too. Great solution. I think he sells ASA printed ones through Etsy, but make sure you don’t get the PLA knockoffs (they warp in moderate sun). ... JBL Flex removable speaker delete / blank plate (3D print)
Thought I'd break this out to a ncomponents. What are your thoughts about the Slate audio speaker system. No specs provided as to speaker size, audio amp output, db sensitivity, frequency range, or speaker compnents. Pricing seems reasonable enough to get factory-designed enclosures for the dash, which are attractive styling IMO, but they will take up the entire cubby system behind the dash panels. I like that it appears to have some basic audio controls (?). I decided to hold off on... Slate Bluetooth Dash Audio Speakers - Thoughts?

Just fount this article. I guess this is good news for the people that need work Vans. I suppose it will work as delivery vehicles as well. Its not from Slate officially but from Christian Kreipke, Slate Auto’s Fleet Business Development and Government Sales Lead. So I guess a Slate employee. This thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/electriccars/s/HJvSencCBA has just got my blood boiling. I am not oblivious to the perception or the shortcomings that ppl have with the truck. It’s the obvious bullshit that gets to me. I’d rather vent here than try to speak truth to the naysayers over there.
He gets why I am really interested in Slate.
