Gunray’s Civil War II Enhancement Mod – Version 1.0 Released Hello Civil War II community, My friend Naturamix and I still regularly play Civil War II, and over time we noticed many small things that could be improved, corrected, or expanded. I originally started modding the game for our own sessions, but the project gradually became much larger, so I decided to share it with the community. I have now finished Version 1.0 of Gunray’s Civil War II Enhancement Mod . The goal of the mod is to improve and expand the vanilla Civil War II experience without turning it into a completely different game. It focuses on historical accuracy, generals and admirals, bug fixes, balance improvements, visual updates, and expanding systems that were limited or unfinished in vanilla . Gunray is my other account and the account under which the mod is published on Nexus Mods. Version 1.0 Highlights 130+ generals received new historical abilities reflecting their real strengths and weaknesses. Improved general names, biographies, portraits, and historical data . Added custom portraits to generic generals that originally had no unique portrait. Visual updates to the Message Panel, Days Counter, Ledger, and more . Expanded the visible Ability Display from 4 to 8 abilities . Added a new Seniority System that rewards generals for participating in the capture of important locations. Added a cooldown system preventing repeated Seniority farming from the same locations. Completely reworked the Prisoner E

To revert back to the vanilla CW2 version simply delete the text in your Modpath file. Thank you all sincerely for your continued interest & support, and for your company. I appreciate it no end. All feedback is welcome and appreciated
I will certainly keep a look-out for the new version! A shame, because my gaming habits and timetable means I've been fighting my current CW2 campaign for longer than the actual war But one day I'll get around to a new one. Thanks! -deguerra

Installing it during an existing campaign may cause changes or fixes to not work correctly. I’m currently working on v1.0, which should be released within the next couple of weeks. It will include: More bug fixes Full names for every general Traits/abilities for every general And there’s more planned for v1.0 as well! All currently changes for v1.0 are already listed on the Nexus Mods page, so you can check there for the full changelog and upcoming features.

I have created two reference lists for Civil War II showing the maximum rank every general can reach in the game. These lists also work with Vanilla Civil War II and are useful if you want to quickly check whether a general can still be promoted or has already reached his maximum rank. I created separate lists for: CSA – Confederate States of America USA – United States of America The full lists contain all generals available in the game. This should make it much easier to plan promotions and army commands without having to search through the game files every time. The lists are available in the Articles section of Gunray's Civil War II Enhancement Mod on Nexus Mods. If you notice a missing general or an incorrect promotion level, feel free to let me know. https://www.nexusmods.com/civilwarII/mods/1?tab=articles
