On leaving a site yesterday, the rear steady pad caught on the drive, it's not the first time this has happened. I tow with a Nissan navara, which sits high at the back, I've ordered a towball height adjuster and some bolts and I'm going to lower the tow ball. Since I got the Navara the caravan has been a little high at the front, I didn't worry too much as it always towed well, but the back of the caravan is low and I've had trouble reversing onto a sloping pitch, Had to uncouple and use the moverto stop the back hitting the ground. Does anyone know the correct torque for the bolts please?

How do I detach the fuse holder to either clean it or buy a new one in the toilet cassette holder it's the one a the back of the cassette on the floor 3amp fuse also will any 3 amp fuse do thanks. My caravan is 2009 swift accord

For those who cross the southern-middle Pennines you might be interested that the new road section of the A59 at Kex Gill between Harrogate and Skipton has opened. It has been built at a cost of £82m to overcome problems of land slips and consequential road closure on the old road. Yesterday - its first day - I understand had one hour queues!

We are just back from a trip to Harrogate and on the tow home to East Anglia we witnessed some really bad driving, which I had otherwise noticed that tuggers are generally better nowadays and campervan and motorhome driving standards had deteriorated noticeably IMO, probably due to newcomers not buying caravans in favour of the self propelled leisure vehicle. Well, a black Jag S type towing a van was indignant with horn blowing that I stayed in the correct inside lane as clearly marked, for Kings Lynn at the entry to the A16 roundabout as we were travelling Eastbound, the Jag was in the outside lane marked for a right turn only for A16 south, but obviously decided he wanted to stay on the A17 . Next, at Sutton Bridge , he barreled past on the inside, past all the lane position signs and took the left lane which is for a left turn into the town, but cut up a truck by turning right for King’s Lynn. Next, after joining the A47 at Kings Lynn, we found ourselves behind a brand new looking Swift, which we were behind until nearly at Swaffham, he was doing no more than 40 or less in the 50 (60 solo) zones and was all over the place TBH. The tailback got very lengthy, to say the least. But at least we had a very very clear road ahead once we were able to overtake! What with the recent wrong way dual carriageway incidents, are driving standards now declining even further?

Hello, My Truma Utrastore Ware Heater in my 2003 Sterling Europa 520 does not appear to heat the full 10 liter capacity. According to the owner's manual, in electricity operation mode there is no temperature setting - it heats up to 70 deg and presumably is regulated by a thermostat or similar switching device... Is there a setting/switch on the actual boiler that may need to be reset? Thanks in advance

Just accidentally activated the brakeaway cable on an AL-KO Chassis 2018 which has left my draw bar locked in the extended position. Any advice to release it would be appreciated.

The flush pump was working perfectly all through a 3 week tour of Devon/Cornwall in June/July, but wouldn't work on our few days away at Brean a couple of weeks ago. Fuse is OK, and the other things using the same fuse (e.g. cooker ignition) work ok. BUT if someone can tell me if there's summat else I can check beyond the fuse and the visible wiring in the cassette compartment I'd be very grateful, ta . Caravan is a march 2023 Sprite Alpine 4 which is now beyond its 3rd year warranty (with warranty fix no. 27 at its last service in March!). Last time I had this issue it was with a van that was 10 years old at the time and had been standing for a few months over Winter - the mechanic said at the time that 10 years is about right. I'm beginning to wonder if Swift been buying-up seconds from the manufacturers of this stuff to save dosh!

We have a ferry booked for Tuesday 8am. Wednesday my car did a quick "blip" whilst I was driving on a dual carriageway. Thursday did the same again so took it to an independent Mercedes dealer near me, the one I normally use couldn't fit me in for a scan until September, but I managed to find another who could do a scan but nothing further until September!! Anyway the scan showed no faults so went home. Today the engine shuddered and went to limp mode with the EML on, back to the garage. The scan showed several faults and they recommended having the ECU bench tested. The car is drivable, just. I have Greenflag who said I am entitled to £800 for a hire car to take to France. The quote I got for a Tiguan with towbar was just under £2000 collected from Birmingham. So cancelling the holiday, and trying to decide what to do about the car issue. Sell as is, repair and sell, repair and keep, get rid of the van and buy a "normal car"........ Not a happy bunny.

So this is a bit weird. Ive just been told by an Elddis dealer that Truma wont fit a roof mount air con on my brand new Apex 868 despite me seeing several that had roof mounted ones! Anyway, has anyone got experience with the internal under seat Truma Saphir Comfort unit. This is the only unit Truma are prepared to install (and the business we purchased the caravan form only use Truma). I know the internet says they can be noisy but the roof mounted ones are hardly silent.....
