I also have had Bell’s Palsy from birth and am now 33yo. I really just found out what it was a few years ago, only having ever been told my entire life that it was the same thing Sylvester Stallone had, it was a permanent deformity, and my parents didn’t do any more digging because there was no point. I decided to finally do some of my own digging when I saw your post. I was wondering if you could send me any helpful information/recourses you’ve found on the topic? Both for anything that may have helped heal and gain back functionality and also any mental health resourses you may have found for dealing with the trauma of going through everyday life like this from birth.

M44, I had recurring CSC in one eye for several months recently, and my vision dropped to ~20/25–20/32 for around 1.5 months without any improvement from resting. We were monitoring it by OCT scans but did not apply any treatment since the blood vessels did not show any leakage. By chance, I was taking baby aspirin for other reasons, and after the third day, I saw a sudden improvement in CSC. My vision returned to 20/20 after only 10 days. The Amsler grid distortion also improved significantly, with slight recovery every week (it might get restored after several months based on this recovery rate). I also got blood tests and found a few hormones ~50–60% above the upper limits of the typical reference ranges: total testosterone ~1,400 ng/dL, SHBG ~85 nmol/L, and DHEA-S ~580 µg/dL. I found only one small-scale study on baby aspirin for CSC: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2921298/ For my next steps: (1) Some of my hormones got elevated since last year, possibly due to using a keto diet vs. Mediterranean diet. I possibly need to better balance fat vs. carbs, exercise, and sleep to prevent overshooting hormones that might contribute to CSC. (2) I plan to take baby aspirin for ~5–6 months, as mentioned in the study, to minimize the chance of CSC recurrence. Does anybody have recommendations or experience with CSC recovery using baby aspirin? Are there any specific side effects (except bleeding) that I need to watch for? Also, if baby aspirin is helpful for CSC recovery at
How is your ankle 7 years later? Do you still have the hardware? I’m 7 months after surgery and wonder what happens next
In my opinion, making the baby equipment easier to handle can make a hugee difference while recovering!!. So thingies like a lighter stroller or an easy-to-use car seat is gonna mean less lifting. There’s something like Little Canadian that has a good range of baby gear to compare if you’re looking for practical options that are easier to manage.
I am on week 6 of taken citalopram and still feel light headed everyday. Did anyone else experience this on week 6 am really struggling with it now and its making my anxiety worse. Only on 10mg
Thank you. I cant tell you enough how much your message helped. You can feel so alone with this illness and it can really help when others relate. What you said is so true about taking the medication for this just as you would take medication for another illness. I still have that ego thinking that I need to get off this medication to be normal at times but like you said, this medication has helped me to feel normal. Guess I find it hard to accept being mentally ill. I just want to be perfect… Anyway, appreciate you reaching out so much. Chris
Honestly, please don’t worry about it Bodies are all different, and there’s a huge range of what’s completely normal. The fact that yours is more visible than your friend’s doesn’t make it any less normal or attractive. And as for whether it’s a turn-off for boys, the right person isn’t going to judge you for something that’s simply part of your body. You really don’t need to feel self-conscious about it.
Hello Doctors, I am seeking an expert medical opinion to definitively date my conception. Here is my exact timeline: Last Menstrual Period (LMP): Started on August 3rd-4th. Intercourse dates (BD): August 12th, 13th, 14th, and a final intercourse on August 19th (in the afternoon around 4:00 PM). LH Surge (Easy@Home strips): Positive on August 16th and 17th. The peak was recorded on the 16th at 2:00 PM (the test line was significantly darker than the control line). On the 17th at 12:00 PM, it was still positive but visibly lighter. First positive pregnancy test: Executed on August 27th at 10:30 AM using my first morning/night urine (I had just woken up). It showed a faint but clearly visible line, which became significantly darker the following morning (August 28th). Blood Beta-hCG test: Performed on August 31st at 10:00 AM. The official laboratory result is exactly 247.8 mIU/mL. When looking at this entire picture together—specifically the clear LH peak on the 16th, the positive urine test on the 27th (just 7.5 days after the 19th), and the blood Beta-hCG of 247.8 on the 31st—is it biologically possible to attribute this pregnancy to the intercourse on the 19th? Or do all these combined medical factors definitively exclude the 19th and attribute the conception to the fertile window of the 12th-14th? Thank you for your professional guidance.
I need some help! I have been experiencing gut/digestive problems for a year and my doctor isn’t helping! Started Nov-Dec last year. I started experiencing pain and cramping after I ate but only in the afternoon. May - I developed loud stomach gurgling and burning. Diarrhea after eating. Only after eating. Then bad acid reflux and burping. Probiotics have not helped! I’ve tried peppermint capsules, they did nothing. Eating a BRAT diet for a month, this kind of helped but not significantly. Imodium helps take all symptoms away but they come back. The only other thing I can think of is I was on an antibiotic for a while and a topical for months! Could it have damaged by gut this bad and caused this?
Yes, P-Shot (Priapus Shot) is a treatment that some clinics in Pakistan offer for erectile dysfunction (ED), but it is important to understand that it is not a proven cure for ED yet . The American Urological Association considers PRP treatment for ED experimental , because the evidence is still limited and inconsistent. What is the P-Shot? The P-Shot uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) made from your own blood. A small amount of blood is drawn, processed to concentrate platelets, and then injected into the penis. The idea is that growth factors in PRP may support tissue healing and blood flow. Some men report improvements in erection firmness, sensitivity, and sexual function, but results vary considerably. You should therefore be cautious about clinics promising guaranteed results, permanent enlargement, or a definite cure. Is P-Shot good for your ED? It may be an option , particularly if your ED is related to blood-flow or vascular problems, but I would not choose P-Shot before finding out the actual cause of your ED . ED can be associated with diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, low testosterone, medication, anxiety/stress, smoking, obesity, or penile conditions. A urologist/andrologist can determine which treatment is most appropriate. In many cases, established ED treatments have stronger evidence than PRP/P-Shot. The AUA specifically notes that PRP should be regarded as experimental rather than a standard ED treatment.
Thanks to all who have reached out and helped so far God bless
