Inspired by a couple of threads I've been reading on here, I've decided to document the ups and downs of my latest acquisition. Maybe provide a little inspiration or a few laughs and a list if things to avoid? Here goes, new to me 2005 low mileage (54,500 at purchase) Fiat Panda 1.2 Dynamic, it was nearly a newer 1.1 eco but the pre-purchase advice https://www.fiatforum.com/threads/pre-purchase-advice-for-169-panda-petrol-vs-diesel.524344/ and other threads and reviews swayed me... Now please be patient with me, I'm not too good with electrics, better if any advice given is suitable for a 5 year-old who has never seen anything more advanced than a pedal-car. I want to add 2 new 12v accessory sockets to my RHD (UK) 2015 Panda Cross 1.3 Multijet. I have finally found the in-car fuse box after much searching - FYI, its in the back of the glove box compartment. At lease I know where it is now and that (according to the handbook) fuse F53 is a battery direct positive... Read more
Hello to all. Selling my seicento if anyone interested?
Hello to all. Selling my seicento if anyone interested?
Someone drove into (side swiped when overtaking) my parked 500 Lounge two weeks ago at about 25mph, visible damage to the driver side wing / wheel arch. Since then the battery died 3 times, I jump started it successfully the first two times, but upon the third attempt the red error light on my jump started kit was indicating that it wasn't connected correctly (even though I connected it in the same way as always). Now the engine won't start at all. The dash lights switch on, and radio... Read more
Woohoo to the big 5k! Today we officially hit the 5000th vehicle added to the garage and there's no better it could be than @Siphi 's rather shiny black 124 Spider Hopefully he'll keep us updated with future developments, but you can see the detailed info on his garage page: Fiat Spider 1981 Fiat Spider www.fiatforum.com Now then, who will take the 10k spot??

Hellooo! I’ve had my Tipo for about 6 years now (2017 plate) and it’s always the windows I have problems with, they have a mind of their own! I’ve had every window regulator replaced if not twice each over the years and now I cannot use my drivers winder. Cars been nicknamed Herbie. If the drivers window goes down, it does not come back up until it randomly decides to work (which isn’t good with this rainy weather!). The back windows haven’t worked for a while, they do the same and go down... Read more
Hi all, I have a 500f with the original engine, it was rebuilt 3000kms ago. So the story goes like this, one of the valves broke and naturally engine came to a halt. I got towed to a garage and we removed the head and the break was at the top valve by the rocker. No real damage to the piston, slight dent but no cracks etc. The head was then stripped down, bottom of it was skimmed, new valves, guides etc all fitted and everything reassembled. The problem: Oil is blowing out of the filler... Read more
I feel so-so stupid falling for this but I have to share it with you people. I replaced the sump on another Fiat vehicle and told by the garage who replaced it that they are all like this. It's a steel pressing and very thin lick of paint with zero protection from the weather not to mention stones. The reason I feel so stupid is I should have dealt with this two years ago, it's an easy solution if the corrosion isn't too deep. Rust converter then a few coats of either Hammerite or bitumen...
