Macross VF-11B Nothung II The Ride-Custom paint scheme

Model is now primed. Going to look into correcting an issue where the wings touched each other while drying so that needs to be fixed. Oddly enough, the primer leveled out enough where it almost self-corrected. I’ll take the win on that.

What Did You do on Your Work Bench Today

@GAF @Tojo72 Thanks guys! Gary, hopefully you’ll get your Jug GB here, or perhaps on another forum. Tony, I think this will look just fine on my shelf of display instead of the shelf of doom. Samphoto: Apparently I’ve been giving up on stalled projects way too quickly. Seriously, congratulations on finally getting this one across the finish line. Fifteen years and four houses means this model has quite a story behind it. I’m curious—was it something you periodically came back to over the years, or did it spend a long stretch packed away before you finally decided it was time to finish it? Thanks! Yes I would occasionally look at this one every so often, then put it back. But last year I decided I would work harder on my children of doom and get more of them finished. My eventual goal being to completely empty it. But that will take a few years. But I did start off this year by completing the oldest one, a Monogram SBD that I started in the mid 90’s! How’s that for a long gestation? I have a few more that I started in the past 25 years that are up next for their respective home stretches.

Kenworth V-12 Twin Turbo

Excellent build Gary, @GaryC . This one is not as custom as your others, but equally fine build here. Like the details such as the wide front tires/wheels and the treads on the back. Keep posting em. I really enjoy seeing your work. Show winner level!

Western Star (full custom) completed

I’m not up to your level, but I like to build mild custom cars. Here is an example of my work. https://forum.finescale.com/t/amt-ertl-69-cougar-custom-fastback-frankencar-build-now-finished/382170

Western Star (full custom) completed

Yup, I love the added style that brings to this build. It’s the fine details and stunning paint jobs that sets your work apart. You have an excellent eye for custom design. Well done.

Western Star (full custom) completed

Yes sir , those mirror brackets are brass rod, the mirrors are from the kit with everything removed, painted and foiled, kinda meets the custom vibe

Western Star (full custom) completed

Amazing details in this rig @GaryC . Another stunning custom semi. Are those custom mirror brackets? So cool! The engine looks great! Very nice! That gloss black on the frame and the fuel tanks is a great touch.

AMT 41 plymouth

Very nice @Tomcat . The custom wheels add interest. The hounds tooth interior is an excellent touch. Love that. Are those (hounds tooth) decals? I just finished a patina version myself.

Midway Group Build, Any Interest?

Six months might be tight for a lot of people, myself included. what would you all think about a November first start date? That might be tough as well with the holidays approaching, but what say you?
