This shouldn't have taken five months, but the color and endless stockinette were sooooo boring. I was determined not to put it down and start something else because I'd never go back to it. The pattern includes afterthought pockets, but I was too anxious to finish it and get it off the needles that I didn't include them. I may add the pockets later when I have time. The color of this yarn was called mouse, so it was brown rather than gray on the picture... Basic Cardigan

Greetings: I have knit over 35 Christmas stockings for family and friends and this is the first time my red yarn has bled into my white yarn. I have always used Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride 85% wool/15% mohair and things have been fine after blocking. This time, I ran out of the color red and had to order more from the company. Does anyone know of a procedure to remove the red/pink color out of the white yarn? Since this yarn is integrated with floats on the entire inside of the stocking, I... Fixing Yarn that bleeds

Just finished sewing 62 moreproject bags for my friend that teaches 5th graders to knit and crochet - and for now I am done!!! When my sister passed away in September 2025 my nieces gave me some of her material (some I can't part with yet but some pieces I can). Some material a friend got me from a couple of garage sales and another of her friends gave her some she didn't want so I put it to good use (hopefully!) The first two pictures are just some of them in piles. I got several bags out... Sewing Project Bags
This has been in the UFO pile for a while so I finally got the tassels on it. The hardest part was figuring out how to attach them. I know it calls for pompoms but I can't make a pompom; can't tie it tight enough to hold it all together, so I decided on tassels. Im sure once it is full of Christmas goodies with the coal at the toe it will be balanced! [URL... Stuff it stocking

I ran across my copy of Ann Budd's sock book. I was surprised that she doesn't have short-row socks (like commercial), and some other things that I would have included. It is a quite comprehensive book for most sock knitters as it covers various heels, ndls, st patterns, etc. She calls splicing "Wet" and I like that. I originally heard it as a Split Splice decades ago, but people argue it is a Spit Splice, which sort of alienates me, so I googled. It Was originally called a Split...
