I'm posting this question in a couple places to get maximum possible answers. I use KOReader on both a Kobo Clara BW and a Boox Go 10.3 Gen 2 Lumi. I do most of my configuration on the Kobo, then have to reproduce everything on the Boox. Can I just copy the plugin and settings folders and files (as listed in the KOReader docs) from the Kobo to the Lumi? Are there things to watch for between the Kobo and Lumi (which uses Android)? Thanks in advance!

I have a kindle PW6 (jailbroken) and wish to compress folders to .zip on my kindle. I would like to know if there is a way to do so on-device without a bothersome copy-zip-replace with a computer. I have not seen such feature in kterm nor the micropython kindle port. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, HenriHenry
Wollen all die Kerle Seebäder nehmen?! That one validates the book you have open, and it is very good at that — but it can only tell you about a book you already decided to open. If you have three thousand books, the question you actually have is which ones . Nobody opens three thousand books to find out. This plugin answers that question, and hands the answer to the other plugin. What you get. Not a list of broken books — a list of defects , each with the number of books carrying it, most widespread first. The shape of it, sketched (your library's rows and numbers will be its own): Code: MESSAGE WHAT IT SAYS BOOKS FINDINGS RSC-005 element "…" is not allowed here ... ... OPF-003 resource is not declared in the manifest ... ... RSC-007 referenced resource is missing ... ... That shape is the point. A library does not have four hundred unrelated problems; it has a handful of producer defects repeated across hundreds of books. Understand one row and you have understood a hundred books — and if a row is something epubsana can repair, you have a batch job rather than an afternoon. Then the two plugins join up. Click a row, and calibre's own book list filters to exactly the books that defect is in. Open one in Edit Book and the epubveri plugin puts you on the line. Which → what → fixed. It is fast enough that t
Is it possible to have Calibre combine the Title of a publication and append the Author(s) to the end of the existing Title? For example, if the Title of the publication is CGA1982 Magazine and the Author is June 2026, can Calibre combine the Author with the existing Title to come up with CGA1982 - June 2026 as the new Title in Calibre? (I hope I have not confused everyone.) Thank-you. Glen
■ New features - Grimmory . Connect a self-hosted Grimmory server from the Library ••• menu and it does five things at once: browse and download its books with their metadata, send books to it, keep reading status, ratings and progress in step both ways, sync highlights, notes and bookmarks with its Notebook in both directions, and post your reading sessions to its statistics. Signing in also sets up KOReader sync for you. Grimmory 3.1 or newer. - Customizable reader toolbar . Settings > Reading > Reader Toolbar shows, hides and reorders the buttons under a book, separately for EPUB, PDF, comics and audiobooks, with one icon size slider and a live preview. Hidden buttons keep their keyboard shortcuts. - Delete several books at once . Select books in the Library and tap Delete: one confirmation with the count, and everything waits 30 days in Recently Deleted. - Update Metadata from File . A row above Delete in the book menu reads the title, authors, series, tags, description and cover again from the file itself, replacing your edits and keeping progress, highlights and bookmarks. - Show covers only . A switch under Display in the Home menu draws every shelf on Home as cover art alone. - Book Sources. Library Display gains Show Calibre, Show Grimmory and Show OPDS switches, so a source you do not use leaves the menus without disconnecting anything. - 0.05x speed steps . The audiobook and Read Aloud speed sheets open with a stepper between the presets, and the CarPlay speed butt
Hi! I was wondering if it's possible to manually edit and rebuild the metadata.calibre file? The latest updates to the Bookshelf KOReader plugin has a function to parse out the metadata.calibre file to pull columns and custom columns data, but my calibre library is huge (was 120+ columns, have brought it down to 85 now) since I'm cleaning through my library, and I also have certain columns where I have longer python scripts, etc. Result is an extremely inflated metadata.calibre file, which includes all the custom columns, when I only want about 3-5 of the columns to be imported in for use with KOReader, and the app/plugin can only handle a metadata file up to 64mb — my full export is about 600mb currently. I've tried converting the file type to see the information in there, and can also rebuild it to have only the column information that I actually need (assuming what I see in text in the file is everything) — but when I save it back to a "metadata.calibre" file, even though the contents appear the same (excluding all the extra unneeded custom columns) and the file type appears the same, it isn't the same file because the app can't read it anymore. When scanning library via the calibre plugin, it also shows that it's found one library with 0 books. Is there something else that needs to be done to allow this to work, or is this an impossible task?
Hello to the entire community. I am currently repairing a Kobo Aura HD e-reader (model N204B); after trying every possible solution, I was advised to re-flash the system. I am therefore looking for the system image to flash onto a new microSD card. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide
