Working Abroad- Any advice

Any scaffs out there know where there is a big demand for tube and fitting scaffolders in the world right now? I’m in Christchurch New Zealand at the moment. There is work here but I been here 4 years and fancy a new challenge. I’m not interested in going back to the UK just yet. Anyone got any contacts for the mines in Aussie or anywhere?? Have got advanced tickets but not much else at this stage Please help  Chris

Scaffolding Inspection and Design

Hi, I’d appreciate the views of experienced scaffolders regarding the scaffolding erected outside this house for roof repair works. The scaffolder has not provided a working design or drawing. Would this arrangement typically be considered TG20 compliant, or would a bespoke scaffold design be required? If a scaffolding inspector is carrying out the required weekly inspections, what major defects or issues would you expect them to identify on an installation such as this? The... Read more

Temporary structural shoring: Why mandate Heavy Hex bolts over Standard Hex?

We are setting up some heavy-duty temporary steel shoring for a commercial bridge repair project. The engineering plans specifically call for Hot-Dip Galvanized "Heavy Hex" bolts for all the primary load-bearing flange connections.
