Is there an easier way to measure hulls?

If I want proper crimps I have to measure my hulls before reloading. I'm currently using calipers but after about a hundred or so my hand starts hurting. I have a mill and lathe and can make just about anything but I can't think of anything besides an old school step scale and I don't think that would be very accurate. What are you guys doing?

Nitro 100 NF Load Data for 12 Gauge 3/4 Oz. Lead Shot?

Is there any published (or personal, via Precision Reloading or Tom Armbrust pressure and velocity testing) load data for 12 Gauge 3/4 Oz. shot using Nitro 100 NF powder and the Claybuster CB0175-12 wad? Note: I kindly ask that you not drift this thread away from it's focus upon Nitro 100 NF and toward any other powder.

In this case i'm loading for a 20 ga 2 3/4" using Ched pre primed hulls and CB 1078-20 wads 18.9 grs of longshot is the max powder My Mec bushing is dropping 18.5 double checked with a electronic and RCBS beam scales. Buckshot loads with Pro Reach?

I'm wanting to load up some 12 ga 2.75" #1 buck using Pro Reach. But, Alliant doesn't list any buckshot loads on their site uusing that powder. Anyone know where I can find buckshot data for PR? Prefer straight walled hulls, but I do have some STS and AA's. Thanks.

turkey loads

Would someone in the know assist me in my turkey loads. I shot a turkey last season at 25 yards with my early 1900's NR Davis 12 gauge. The animal was injured ran into the woods and expired. I found him months later, I don't want repeat that. I used 70 grains of black powder, approximately 5/8" of wading then filled the rest of the hull with #4 shot. Any suggestions thank you in advance .

Running out of Clays, need suggestions for alternate powders.

Long story short after a Cardiac Ablation I am now AFIB free and can resume shooting the 12 gauge. BTW shoot 4 gun Skeet and the 12 provides a 5 point boost over using the lighter 20 gauge. Problem is that the 8 lbs. bottle of Clays is now getting low. I have enough for the upcoming State Shoot but beyond that it's uncertain, may have 8-12 boxes of powder left after the State's. Currently using the Claybuster CB8100-12 but do have 4 bags of the CG0175-12 on hand in the event of a need to... Running out of Clays, need suggestions for alternate powders.

20ga Semi-auto

Thinking I want to try a 20ga semi-auto and am wondering which would be a better sporting clays gun................. Beretta A400 or the Browning A5? Not worried about initial fit as that can always be adjusted. Am wondering which would be the more trouble-free and easily serviced.

Gunsmith recommendation for weld repair of 686 Barrels

I have a late 90's era silver pigeon (bought it used years ago) that at some point in its life was butchered by a less than competent gunsmith. The barrel lug was ground way too far down, and while it still locks up OK the forend feels a bit loose / doesn't feel quite right, and the gun opens too easily. I know there is way to repair this by welding steel back onto the barrel lug to add back material and then removing it to an appropriate level. I have a pretty strong aversion to shipping...
