Has anyone ever hooked up a B-110 hydraulic lift kit to a simplicity 990314 Landlord tractor for use with rear implements, tillers and plows? I have a solid rod for my current manual lift at rear. I think the b110 had a cable and pulley under the seat to lift their rear implements. My question, with the hydraulic lift, tillers and plows need to float, otherwise they will bend the solid rod, and maybe ever do more damage. My question, can I make the solid rod work , or do I need to find a steel strand and pulley setup, like the B110 had, to make the rear hydraulic lift work? Any suggestions or leads on the cable pulley setup, would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Paul.

My saga continues somewhat... On my first gen B110 I've got a 44" belt running from tractor to deck and 35" belt on the PTO with a 3/4" gap on the jackshaft collar. Brand new belts. Mowed my stepson's yard at the lake today and the results were middling. It seemed that the PTO wasn't turning consistently. I could occasionally hear what sounded like it skipping out despite the lever remaining down. Add to that the first time I shut the blades off the PTO belt jumped off the lower pulley despite the guard. In any case I finished the job (the quality of the cut also made me question the consistentcy of engagement) and got the machine back home. I intended to adjust the jackshaft some more but I noticed that even with the tension bar pulled and the engagement lever down there is a fair amount of slack on the back side of the PTO belt. I don't feel like that should be the case when everything is tensioned and engaged. I bring it here because for every 1 thing I get right there's 10 I get wrong. I've already ordered a 34" PTO belt. Thoughts of you professors of tractorology?
Tired of replacing or repairing the clear top on gauge models
Looking for information on charging system in 1976ish simplicity 7016 hydro. I recently bought one and it seem to not be maintaining the battery.
I have had this 48" deck in my basement for several years. I really want to get it refurbished so that I have a spare deck ready to go when my current daily driver finally rusts through. The deck stamping itself is in great shape, zero rust and I had protected the bottom with POR-15 years ago. Still solid. I want to sand it down, prime, and paint it white. I (knowing myself) figure if I get it all redone, it'll nudge me to obtain the parts needed for the center and one side arbor that need to be replaced and have it ready to go. If I use my orbital sander to roughen up the paint, clean with acetone, and prime with Rustoleum grey primer, will a good quality topcoat stick to that?
It's been a long time since the rusty GMC has hauled a new Allis Chalmers onto the ranch. This one came up on the consignment auction a dozen miles from home so how could I not? I have never had one with an original seat that still retains the upholstery like this one, unbelievable! Oh, and the engine is not original, it's a K-341. It's been a long while since it ran but obviously was kept dry until sitting on the auction lot. Steering is pretty tight, paint should shine and sparkle with a wash and wax. I have tires mounted up in stock to correct it's current lean quick and easy. Hopefully it will easily become a runner soon. 😁
I had bad luck with Chinese carb so does anybody know how to tell if new carb or fake? I ask this guy on fleabay and he said look at the picture- REALLY. https://www.ebay.com/itm/126004401362?_skw=OEM+391073&epid=25012029442&itmmeta=01M0XFMJQETZ0W2HM8SHDN779F&hash=item1d567294d2:g:GU4AAOSwgGtkpvjA&itmprp=enc%3AAQALAAAA8GfYFPkwiKCW4ZNSs2u11xAWgJnRgjRGn5logcDOkGxRQy%2FwFrcWPLbuUDRzlXmuZgGjTrPOa5dG3TAnICeSodIntvcpERY5cD3Zh1y93uUqYM12aVMqQRha5jnMhNfqB%2BGORLgmEH%2FftoOtmD34DGG8lU5L6Mazlu6LIBoYusP7O2ZcvTT%2BcOPbxM%2Bho3xuqt8e8EQwRAGWHmwm0b2Ag96BWilnHPIGAYwQKFgkkZOP1W1L%2F2mBduG2zxKnlMB84lCOTnIfMW3ehjoGslg0TB0JnCJw3QHriXzfdpJJqjVm8LeZuIRznHsbWPGd3u1tWQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_qr0q-HaA
Anyone have a quick recommendation for a front tire tube for a Simplicity 71xx series?

I have found a Sunstar with 682 hours on the machine. The engine seems fine, lapped and adjusted the valves and cleaned the carb, just because. And, just because, am in the process of changing fluids. The hydro filter is discontinued everywhere. Does anyone here know a replacement for #1671234SSM? the filter is 3.2" tall, any taller and it would strike the hydro cooling fan. Likely, it is the original filter, as there are no markings at all, on i Briggs has a short filter used as an oil filter on several other brands of machines that is 3.3 inches tall. I have about 1/2 inch from the old filter to the fan, and an additional 0.1inch should not be a problem. Anyone know the answer?
Welp, as some of you may remember I was having issues with the blades on the 42 inch deck on my B110 spinning fast enough to blow out clippings in heavy grass. So I raised the cutting height of the deck about 1/2 an inch. Then the blades wouldn't engage at all. I was running a 47 inch belt between tractor and deck. I put on the correct 46 inch one-- it would either immediately throw it or the blades would run continuously whether engaged or not. Then got it to work right with the lever but if the blades were off and I raised the deck they would come on. Got the same results with the tension lever pulled or released. Adjusted the collar on the jackshaft every which way. Either got the same results or the blades wouldn't engage at all. Finally went back to the 47 inch belt and original jackshaft adjustment (1 1/4 inch for that size belt apparently) and the blades wouldn't engage. Then they took after a moment of the lever being in the engaged position. I released them and reengaged several times and drove across the yard. They seemed to work all right (ie, they didn't cut off as the deck went up and down over uneven terrain). The only oddity I see on the PTO assembly is the idler pulley barely turns when blades are engaged. Odd since it's brand new and correct size. I just want to be able to go back to cutting my grass without any issues. Thoughts?
