The 98's down!!

Had to have the Wrangler towed home on Sunday. Wife said that it started vibrating REALLY BAD, so she pulled off the highway. Not sure what it is, haven't had time to look at it. I did start it and moved it into the garage. Sounds like the D35 took it in the shorts. There's over 300,000 miles on it. I'm surprised it lasted that long. My 94's crapped the bed at 130,000. Got the Ranger in the shop now. Why does crap have to break at the same time? Stay tuned......

Key Stuck in Ignition (Run Position)

So the other day, I took my Jeep to the mechanic for a couple of issues to be addressed. I got it back yesterday, but the shop didn't fix anything and managed to get the ignition key stuck in the run position (so the engine cannot be turned off without unplugging the distributor, and the electronics won't shut off without the battery being unplugged). The key will turn in the start position, but will not release past the run position. I thought it could be related to the steering wheel lock... Key Stuck in Ignition (Run Position)

Clutch master and slave cylinder recommendations

Hey everyone, 2004 TJ What preassembled master and slave cylinder kits are recommended? I can’t seem to find a LUK brand kit for my year Jeep (doesn’t appear they make one). I was thinking of going Perfection Clutch from Rockauto. The background for those interested: A few weeks back I had odd stiff clutch issues, long story short I started with a new slave cylinder and in an emergency I bought a Duralast brand to get me by for a few days (my daily). Clutch completely failed a day... Clutch master and slave cylinder recommendations

Lightning icon on dash

I know what the icon is. I've replaced and tested all that has been recommended. I have a few electrical issues in other areas and wondering if this is causing the icon.

Let the fun REALLY begin!

A friend of mine had a 94 Wrangler sitting in his yard for years. It's rough, but looked like it had "good bones". I offered to buy it because he was in a financial pinch. He threw a price out there, and the next day it was in my garage. My plan is to make it semi dependable and look decent. I'm not going to do a "build" thread because I'm just fixing what needs fixed. So far I've: Got it running. It runs good. Tune up in my future. Drive train seems solid. I've only taken it around the... Let the fun REALLY begin!

Radiator Suggestions

I am at the point in the process in my 1983 Jeep CJ7 that I need to purchase a radiator. I have converted over to a Chevy SBC 350 from the 258. Any suggestions on what radiator to use or where to get 1. I have seen some online, just checking to see what others have used in the past and pros/cons of what they found. Thanks.

What spark plugs do you like in your CJ and why?

Anyone else using Denso 5305 Iridium spark plugs? That's what the local NAPA guy recommended for our 1978 CJ5 with 304 V8 -- probably because they cost twice as much as NGK or other brands. I have a stock ignition system, but fear I need to pull these expensive plugs and re-gap them from Denso's recommended .044" to .036" (The maximum adjustment Denso recommends for these plugs). The Jeep runs great, but gets awful gas mileage (8-10 mpg), even when factoring in its stock... What spark plugs do you like in your CJ and why?

2013 JK 2-Door Passenger Seat Fold/Tilt Mechanism - "Cable to Nowhere" Issue

Hey everyone. Having an issue with the passenger seat on my 2013 2-door JK. It folds and slides forward, but it no longer tilts up like it used to in order to allow more room for passengers climbing into the back seat. I’ve spent way more time than I care to admit underneath the seat trying to figure out what's going on. My main suspect right now is this disconnected cable end (highlighted in red in the photo below) that seems to be going nowhere. (Note in the photo: I just propped it... 2013 JK 2-Door Passenger Seat Fold/Tilt Mechanism - "Cable to Nowhere" Issue

10A JK Build

I'm due to pickup a newly purchased 2013 10th Anniversary Rubicon mid-July 2021. This Jeep has led a pampered life; no winter driving and stored indoors. It has 15k miles on it! And there is almost zero rust underneath; even on the exhaust bolts where you add a spacer! To me this is the quintessential 10A: Anvil, 2 door, Red seats. It comes with Dual tops and the 720N stereo, about the only option it does not have is the auto temperature controls and the side airbags. It is a good... 10A JK Build

no power to diagnostic port, no fuse signal on odometer

Just bought an 06 TJ, 4.0. Has superchip Flashpaq that is for the vehicle. Controller won't turn on when connected to odb, getting "no fuse" on dash. Dealer said previous owner removed fuse for taking doors off. I've checked all the fuses behind the glove box, all look intact (haven't checked continuity yet on fuses) and under the hood. I've been doing everything that I know to do, thought maybe someone else ran into this and had some ideas. Thanks in advance for the knowledge.

CJ8 Speedo not working new trans and rewire

Hi, I just finished rewiring and installing a new trans in my cj8. Before this work was done, the speedometer worked just find and now even though the cable is connected on both ends the speedometer and odometer are not working. Has anyone dealt with this before. Thanks
