I am getting more and more annoyed by the CID (navi) in my e89, which I do NOT use at all, always closing it immediately after start-up. Unfortunatelly whenever I gear-in reverse it opens automaticaly. Grrr. So I wanted this feature disabled by SW modification, but was told it wouldnt work unless some wire is being cut (but I do not want to do antyhing that drastical to my Zet). I recently purchased a drive belt, tensioner pulley, and idler pulley to replace on FCP Euro. Per the diagram on RealOem, the vehicle should have an idler pulley, when I began to work on it, I noticed there was none? The diagram also has a part that my vehicle does not have. Does anyone know if this is normal ? To have a missing idler pulley ? Not sure if previous owner forgot to replace or just did not come with one? Car drives fine! 1.) I had to jump start my '98 528i this evening after not driving it for 2 weeks. It was just clicking when I would try to start it as if it had just slipped below the required voltage to start. Anyway after I got it jump started it ran really rough and would not idle. It would stall if I was not in it giving it a little gas. I jump started from the truck battery locations as I was not aware that there is a proper place for this under the hood. Could I have damaged something such as the... Hello All, 1) Does anyone know where I can download ISTA-P? I have ISTA+ installed but need the p version for my e60 (530xi) BMW. 2) I assume the ISTA-P performs diagnostics as well? Otherwise, do I need to keep ISTA+ on my laptop also? 3) Lastly, I was told I will need an ICOM (ethernet) cable to attach to my BMW for programing purposes? I then sent the old key off to an eBay company who replaced the buttons and battery. Hi all, My trunk latch is broken so I purchased a used latch but of course the keying is different. From what I can deduce online if you remove the rear "C" clip the keyed cylinder can be removed and hopefully the keyed cylinder from my broken latch can be slid in and the keying issue is complete. This has been referenced to but I have not seen exactly how to do that.. Is it as easy as it seems? Does anyone have any experience with this? Do I need to find a locksmith to do this? There is...
