Hello again Cutting to the chase, my wife having tried to tax the car discovers the MOT expired almost a month ago..... The good news is that we do have the car booked in for a test tomorrow morning but.....there was an advisory (which I don't recall being made aware of) on the last test front brake reaction arm bushes worn I've not had a chance to check these (when I find out what they actually are) and whether after having covered about 6000 miles since the last test whether these could mean a failure Anyone have any experience in this area please?

My navigation is dead and is show on the screen the following message NO SIGNAL
Hi all, no other clues on this one other than the yellow engine light is coming on intermittently on my E64. Car runs great but it seems there is probably a sensor going off somewhere. Are there any clues where I should look first. Ill also get a plug in diagnostic done to see if there are any clues from that. No other warnings which is good news Im guessing but just interested on what may be going on. Had the two front chests oil seals done back end of 2025 and wondering if there is anything linked to that work. Some low battery warnings but battery capacity checked and is ok. Very occasionally the car won't start, wont turn over at all, just click. I just keep turning off and on and eventually it turns over. Previously I changed the green relay which cured the problem after some research. Could be that needs replacing again and could be linked to the warning I suppose. Is it possible that requires a key fob battery change? Any thoughts on the above welcome. Jenksy
I need a left front gray seat belt 2009 328I convertible.
My X3 has a computer error stating the bottom Air shutter requires coding-in, but need to know which software helps with this issue. Can anybody give any advice with this problem.
I am the 4th proud owner of a 1988 850 CSI since about 25 years. It always makes head turn and is a pleasure to ride Semi eventful love relationship, though... José
Hi, I have the F06 M6 Gran Coupe with smoke from the exhaust (not turbos). From other forums and a bit of research I'm confident it's the valve stem seals that need replacing. Quotes from BMW garages are ridiculous, so does anyone have any recommendations for a decent mechanic who won't see the car and think I've got Elon Musks bank account? I'm in Hampshire and happy to go anywhere in the county for the right mechanic.
Wondering if any can help or has had similiar experiences and what the fix was if any Recently bought a E91 2.0 auto its a 2010 - having issues with P00BD code - so when cR is cold or sat a couple of hours it will start revs drop / fluctuate and I get P302 - plugs are good and had a new coil pack which is bosch Also after driving about a mile or 2 get P00BD - no rev fluctuations etc - its had a new MAF - thats bosch too. pcv valve is good all test show ok - vanos seals replaced and sensors cleaned. Done smoke test and no visible leaks or excess are being taken in. Have also disconnected battery for 30 mins then driven to reset as advised this may help but result is the same. Tbh this is driving me up the wall - wondering if its either electrical or I am missing something - seriously considering calling it quits tbh - its a nice car but being a pain Any help would be appreciated Thanks
Im needing to manually open the hard top folding roof on a 2017 4 series f33. Due to water that killed the rear drivers side window motor I have the front windscreen top locks opened but cant find the positions of the hydraulic bleeds to physically open the boot and roof to replace the window motor..
Well it's been awhile since I had a roll around on the garage floor 🤣 My trusty E70 3.0d has decided to throw a wobbler and loose power limped home and get the laptop fired up to find all 6 glow plugs fault and 3 DPF faults ?? Time for a beer and a think then sleep on it. So after a bit of thinking and reading I believe the Glow plug Controller has failed and usefully as BMW use the Glow plugs to help achieve exhaust temperature that triggers DPF regeneration there has been no regeneration for awhile ☹️ Clogging up the DPF First task test and replace glow plugs and controller Fun time as that needs the inlet manifold removed just to get at them. Modern cars are designed to be built quickly not worked on !!!!! Once I have done that and got the old girl running I should be able to run live tests to narrow down if the DPF is in fact the issue At least it's a little cooler I will update tomorrow Dave
Hi All, I noticed when cleaning my car that the rear quarter window seal has split on my drivers side, does anyone know what this item is called or happen to have a part number for this please? Due to the issue the f33’s suffer with water ingress is like to get this sorted before the weather turns. Also is this an easy fix or does it require removal of interior trim etc? Many thanks in advance. Gary.
I recently installed and new battery in my 2008 328i. Registered the battery and the next morning it was dead. Any advice will be appreciated.
