You really trust those things?

Ive been changing 0-20 oil for ten years and never noticed any iissues. Gotta remember though zero is the cold weight. Once heated, its 20. Spend dome time with the oil geek though.

When draining 5W30 @ 150 degrees it flows faster than water. Why should engine oil be thicker than water? Water is not a baseline for oil standards.

I believe the word ‘water’ is being used as a tongue-in- cheek reference to the low-viscosity oils used in many modern vehicle engines.

There aren’t many 25-year-old compact cars for sale in my area, of any make. Lots of old trucks for sale.

I hardly see any neons around here anymore, they would rust terribly by 15 years old. I know a few that had them with 200k plus miles on them. The last person I know to have one had to get rid of it because of rust, not mechanical issues.

My 2017 Vette has one. No issues and never heard of any vette owners having issues either.

Water is a poor lubricant, but I don’t think you understand the difference between water and engine oil.

Old-Days-Rick: What about the dust and dirt? Wipe it off with a tissue if you are concerned. However, there is a seal around the fuel door to keep the weather and dirt out.
