I purchased my 2013 Journey SXT in 2014. After many moons she is out of my life. I can say for the past 12 years it never gave me any real problems, the few I had where minimal and sometimes caused by me 😆 🤣 When traded in it had just under 95k miles. Truth is it was rarely driven and sat sometimes weeks at a time. I had been thinking of trading/selling it for some time and finally decided to pull the trigger. As for what you say... decided to get a truck that is able to tow my 1978 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, aka The Smurf DeVille. Long story where that name came from 😆 🤣 Recently took the Cadillac to a car show out of state and decided that I wanted to do more out of town shows and didn't want to depend on borrowing a vehicle or renting one. So made sense to own one capable of towing car. Plus wife hasn't gotten a car for herself for sometime so thought it was only fair she get something she likes and can call her own. She likes the 94 silverado we have, which we're now selling since don't need 2 trucks. So only made sense to get a newer truck for her i can also use when going out town several times a year. So been chatting with some of y'all for some years now and want to thank everyone for the help over the years. This forum has been helpful many of times. But on this highway of life I must take the exit with the dodge and start a new Journey... no pun intended 🤣 🤣 🤣

Have a 2018 Journey GT with 3.6L V6 and 6 speed auto It has been running great, but today while in a drive thru line, it started shuddering when creeping forward, then the brake became solid, and the engine shuts off. (not a stall, seems like a key turns off) Tried the shifter override method, but still shuts off when shifting to drive. Can start in Park or Neutral, can drive in reverse, but as soon as shifter moves to Drive, the brake gets stiff and engine shuts off.

I purchased my 2019 Dodge Journey Crossroad November 2024 from a dealership, purchased an extended warranty. It had 67,000 on it and at 87,000 the transmission blew. I had it towed the dealership and they asked for my service paperwork. I only had 1 printed receipt even though I had other changes but can't find the receipts. So now the service mechanic said the company may not cover the 6,000 plus repair. It's the transmission NOT the engine but they still said the company might not cover it. Do I have any recourse????

So today we decided to Crack open the valve cover and take a look at the timing chain...see pics below. The timing chain is tight and doesnt have any wiggle room, at all.

Hi guys. Been a minute for me. I have 2012 DJ 3.6 AWD. @ 160k miles. Had it since new. about a month or so ago, after a trans issue I had fixed, I merged on the highway with 70 - 80% throttle, temp started to climb to about 230-232. I controlled it with feather throttle and heat on blast. We got to where we were going and came back with feather throttle. Ever since temp creeps into 232 when going over hills. If the ac is on, temp climbs to 228-230 on flat surfaces. I live half way up a hill. Every time by the time I arrive home temp climbs to 230 -232 so far, engine oil looks clean, coolant filled, tank + cap replaced, thermostat replaced, oil cooler gaskets replaced, and have bled coolant lines several times. note: I rebuilt the thermostat with advanced auto kit, problem got worse so I replaced the the whole thing. the current radiator is 2.5 years old, and the thermostat had been replaced then too. then it had a leak from the radiator. I had used stop leak gunk prior to. center heater core replaced when radiator too. the fan is fine. It runs at slow and fast speeds. there is no oil in the coolant. the water pump seems to spin fine. No rattle, no leak. There are no other coolant leaks. observed: when gauge reads 228-230, With ir temp sensor, top radiator hose : 197 at the thermostat, lower hose: 142-150, random radiator position: 155. cabin heat very hot. At the tank, there is visual flow coming into the tank from small hose on top. top hose feels firm at hot, and releasing

Hello! After turning on the transmission goes into 3rd gear permanently I saw a p0760 fault Also p0733 So I purchased a solenoid pack But it didn't help There is good oil in the system however next question Does anyone have an idea?
