Duckboats

Almost posted this yesterday, as they were completed last evening in August, but then I didn’t want to take away from Kevin’s urn post. It was a nice piece to end the August workbench, so I guess I’ll start this months carvers workbench thread. I am always trying to be weird with my decoys. Hello all- I was a member here going way back and apparently the account was deleted, possibly for inactivity. My bad. I spent a couple hours today searching for a dodger or spray skirt for my layout boat, and if I couldn’t find one, design ideas instead. I am in the middle of rehabbing my sneakbox. I know it was made from a kit in the early 1960’s here in Washington State and, in my searches, might be a Glen L design. At 65 years old the boat is still very solid and there were a few... I recently acquired 13 old I'm guessing from the mid 50's or 60's rubber ?plastic? oversize mallard decoys. They are in new condition less dirt and dust. They have no marking of manufacture. I acquired them in Michigan but I remember as a boy hunting over these in Illinois. The rubber like material and keel design remind me of Neumann and Bennett's but that is just a guess. They are foam filled as well.
