Omeprazole

Not quite sure where to post this but wanted some advise on Omeprazole, I am taking this for acid reflux which my GP said is common with Fibromyalgia, problem is that he said I shouldn’t take it every day because of side effects, I am finding on days I don’t take it I have worse acid reflux, feel nauseous and bloated. Is anyone else on this medication who can give me advise please.

I know I have to accept this but,

I know I should just accept my fate and make the best of it, but sometimes I want to scream. I would do if I had the energy . Without wanting to bore everyone with my medical history, sometimes all my various conditions seem to gang up on me I’ve had the worst few days recently and it’s not getting any better. I’m more or less housebound and to cap it all my wife has developed a very serous skin condition and she is out of action now Don’t know what to do now, I can’t take any of my... Read more

The Best Of Queen

Well on a positive note !! I don't go or do stuff like I used to as some of you will relate to. My one and only friend that lives a street away has suggested we go and see The Best Of Queen at a venue in Kings Lynn Norfolk on October 9th !! We did a Bon Jovi event at the same venue earlier in the year where I could hear the music but couldn't see anything as everyone stands up in front of you So this time she booked the balcony so hopefully no dramas ? Its 11 miles away and... Read more

Collagen and ladies of a certain age with fibro

More of a reader than a poster, however, I do like to keep up to date with the forum. I hit menopause, experienced some PTSD from work and was diagnosed with fibro all within months of each other. I woke up one morning with unexplainable pain. Anyway, that was at the end of 2020 and I am getting along quite nicely now I know the triggers for my pain. Stress and anxiety being huge drivers, which are now helped with Sertraline (50g) daily. I still experience flares, pain, fatigue, cramps... Read more
