I have a 40 gal tank that keeps getting black beard algae. I do 60% water changes every week. CO2 injection But, the only thought is my light. I have seen Chihiros higher output lights in aquariums with CO2. I asked if the tank has problem with BBA. The answer was no. 50% water changes with fertilizer once a week. Some green algae. Could that light keep BBA out of my tank?

So what are you up to or what did you do today? Today, I mowed a client's lawn and replaced a catalytic converter on our family's car(with a bit of my dad's help). Your turn!

Does snails & fish run on bio-logical clocks? I was suprised to find that leaving the aquarium lights on at night, all the burrowing snails were out and the fish were at their usuall place resting as if the aquarium lights were switched off.

In Dec. 2025 I added Bucephalandra Brownie to my tank, attaching to small pieces of wood and then attaching the wood to my main tank decoration in the center of my tank. I realize this plant species is very slow growing. What I am struggling with is the Pale (Bleached out) looking leaves. Trying to figure out why this plant is not doing well. Some conditions; Nicrew light set to low settings as all plants in tank are all anubias type varieties (11 hours/Day). W: 25 R: 25 G: 20 B: 15 Water... Read more

What are you eating for dinner/breakfast/lunch or snack? I had the weirdest looking cauliflower and some ground beef tacos.
