It's probably time to replace the original Marine Air Systems 10k AC unit on my 2007 330 Express. Although I have not had any issues with it, and it still runs ok, the pan is all rusted out, the unit itself is deteriorating, and it's starting to smell a little. I've just started looking at replacement units, specifically the Dometic Envirocomfort and the CTM units, however it looks like they may need to be modified to accommodate the return. Curious, has anyone upgraded to a Lewmar Pro Fish 700 or 1000 Windlass on the their Marlin? I have a Lewmar Pro Sport 550 now but it cant handle the amount of chain I am using. I would like to upgrade to the pro fish 1000, but it would require running all new wire to the windlass. Just wondering if anyone has done this already and how it went? Thanks!

So those of you who know me, know that I replaced the hard top with a custom pilot house because I wanted to be able to see. I did that a couple of years ago so I could see tuna. I've gone on a tuna journey, I put my madmacs in the water a couple of years ago and my stuff came undone like a cheap suit. So I went nuts on knots. I tested all of my knots to 70 pounds. The guy who schooled me on tuna thought I was nuts but I said my shit didn't work, I want it to work. He said he never did... Read more

Preface, I've owned the boat since 2019. Getting spray on windshield or Strataglass has always annoyed me, as when it dries, the salt residue makes vision tough. Yesterday I went offshore, and there was a quartering sea on the starboard side, so spray was taken. I thought that it would be a good idea to bring a spray bottle with water to help. Not digging this gel coat crack on my 257 fisherman. Can I just put some gel coat over it so it doesn't get worse or do I need to sand down, etc. Any problem with just leaving as is?
