I’m in the market for a 2038R and am looking at a 2022 with 680 hours. It seems well cared for/not abused. Should the number of hours be concerning? I’m coming from a 2305 averaging 40 hours a year. Appreciate the group’s thoughts. Thanks

I took off my 120R loader from my JD2025r (Model year 2018 or 2019) a month or two ago. I went to reattach it today to move it to a new shed and I have a weird misalignment. When trying to fold the parking stand up, it now interferes with the front hanger for the mower deck rather than swinging all the way up and allowing the frame to fully seat in the brackets. I attached pictures of where everything sits when the parking stand starts to bind. I had never needed to take off the front... Alignment issue with 120R loader and JD 2025r.

Ok, my 2021 X738 with 54HC deck has been a beast for me - approaching 500 hours now. While I keep up with the grease fittings, oil and filter changes, fuel and air filter changes and even have done the hydro oil and filter change, I completely overlooked the deck gearbox oil change. Never saw any leakage or obvious noises. Was almost done cutting at the end of last week when the blades completely stopped. Initially thought it was a spindle issue but NO it was the gearbox. Tractor picked... I messed up! Cautionary Tale below. X738 w/blown mower gearbox

Oil comparison? Is the plus50 oil worth the extra $ or better getting something else with the same 15-40 specs. Neither of my tractors are under warranty or have the extended service interval sump so the 500hr service (that I don’t like the idea of any way) doesn't matter. 250 hr service twice a year generally but generic oil is half the price of the jd plus50.

Had another blade break off my flail mower. Last time, only one of the mounts broke, so I was able to weld it back on. This time, both mounts, blade and all got launched, so I'll have to make new mounts. I'll keep you posted as this project proceeds.

Had a Stihl chainsaw. I forget the model #, it was a 200- something. think I paid $500-600 for it. Maintained it properly, took it to the shop every time it broke. Probably spent near as much as what I paid for it. Went to sell it. You can't get more than $50 for a used chainsaw. I could have put that money towards a new saw. Gave it to my grandson. Lesson learned: NEVER take a chainsaw to a saw shop. If you can't fix it yourself, buy a new one & keep the old one for spare parts.

Bought it new when I moved out into the countryside. I use it to cut 3.5 acres of lawn, up and down a 45° hill. Been great till this yr. Mid pto froze and broke in two.

I have a 2002 John Deere 4210. I bought it new. Sets Inside and I have always used John Deere oil and filters. At 125 hours the transmission failed. I failed again at 465 hours. Again replaced by John Deere. It now has approximately 1,000 hours on it and the transmission has failed again. John Deere dealer told me the parts are obsolete Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was your solution?

Lord I know how this sounds....... My 445 is running poorly. It's EFI and I've read a lot about how the little 3" piece of fuel tubing on the fuel pump can get a crack. I pulled mine apart today - and low and behold......several cracks! However - I for the life of me cannot figure out how to remove the dang tube? I pulled one clamp down - the other clamp I've never seen before in my life - and then how do I compress the tube to get it out?! Please send helP... Hi everyone... So I recently got a new 1025r with the BH160 backhoe and I switched the control pattern . I swapped out the spools and swapped the lines but my stick is very slow . I read in older post about a valve that needs to be swapped but mine is different then the one on the 260b backhoe that was done . Does anyone have experience with these and can lead my in the rite direction? Thanks very much Ernie

Hello, probably a head gasket but thought I would ask if there is an oil cooler inside the radiator on 5425? LV4045T engine. I think this engine is used in all 5000 and 6000 series tractors and many other applications? Any advice or suggestions appreciated. Thanks
