Hello On August 27, I rescued a kitten who is approximately two weeks old. At first, I fed the kitten a lactose-free milk formula that is marketed as suitable for kittens. After about two feedings, the kitten began having severe, projectile watery diarrhea. Each episode soaked an area approximately 15 cm (about 6 inches) in diameter, and the stool was pale yellow. There was no visible blood in the stool. I then took the kitten to a veterinarian. The veterinarian said that the kitten had... Read more

Good evening: I became a member of HA a couple of years ago due to my quest to educate myself about my cat Bella's renal disease. Since then I have been on quite the amazing journey as I continue to be her proud caregiver. Today, I come to you about her sister (litter mate) Maya, who I believe I have brought up before but might as well do the usual intake format. She had her annual wellness exam today and I am attaching her blood results. 1. 15 yrs and 8 months old 2. spayed 3. calico... Read more

@Dr. Jeff @Dr. Christina Hello. I am new to Holistic Actions and am hoping for some guidance to help Fozz, my 12 year old pug. He weighs approximately 20 lbs, Body Condition score of 4.5/9, and gets a good amount of exercise. His last blood test in May came back clean with everything in range. Fozz is very healthy except for this gland issue. He eats a lightly cooked fresh food diet of white fish and sweet potato. He also receives pumpkin, psyllium husk, and omega oil daily... Read more

I need some general guidance for my cat's diet. Here's his details: 1. His name is Kimchi, he's 10, male. 2. He is neutered. 3. Tabby cat 4. 15lbs 5. BEAM is all good 6. Up until recently, I've been feeding him Open Farm wet chicken food. Now, as he was just diagnosed with early stage kidney disease, I've been giving him Hills prescription diet kidney care as per the direction of the vet. 7. Kimchi has had a lot of exposure to vaccinations and every year I've taken him to get his teeth... Read more

First, thank you for this lovely community. I have been silently reading the forum in the last years, also @Dr. Jean Hofve website, where I found super valuable resources while raising my 7 kitties to be healthy and thriving. Now one of them is needing some help. 1. Bowie, male cat, 14 years young 2. Neutered 3. Ragdoll 4. Approximate weight: 12 lbs 5. BEAM: lately more settled and slow, has appetite, cuddly and playful. Since I am very focused lately in his happiness he seems more... Read more

Hello, Hi Dr. Christina, I’m hoping you can help with Bubba or point me in the right direction. He’s about 6 years old and stopped eating Thursday night. Saturday night into Sunday morning, he vomited four times, so we took him to urgent care yesterday. They did bloodwork, including checking his pancreas and kidneys, as well as X-rays, and thankfully nothing significant was found. They gave him fluids, Zofran, and Cerenia for nausea. He hasn’t vomited since, but he still seems very... Read more
