I set the new series of Police interceptors to record on ch5 tonight at 8pm, I started watching it 10 mins after it started and then when I skipped the ad break it started to play the beginning again even though the time elapsed was showing correctly, I stopped it and started it again and it repeated the same flaw so I gave up and set it again for the Ch5+1. Again I started to watch it just after it started and it displayed the same fault ******** Aura I then gave up and... Read more

I finally found some time to look at integration with theTVDB.com again. Those with long memories may remember the initial attempt a few months back which was partially successful but highlighted some problems. I've just published webif 1.2.5-1 which contains a better implementation of this function. It's off by default but can be enabled via the settings page. It requires that your Humax has Internet connectivity... Read more

I was just reading this Cordbusters article about new channels just added to Freely where they mentioned the only way you could get Freely before was by buying a Freely TV then ....... " That changed in November 2025, when the first standalone box arrived. There are now two leading devices": ............ They then give a breakdown and price of the Netgem Pleio and the Manhattan Aero. Nowhere in the article is the Aura EZ mentioned at all... Read more
Hi all, I’m trying to recover recordings from the hard drive of an old PVR-9200T. I've already successfully created an image of the 320GB drive using ddrescue, but I’m looking for a way to extract the recordings. I believe HumaxRW should allow me to do this on Ubuntu, but the only package I've found anywhere online is humaxrw_1.15_mipsel.opk, which I haven't been able to get working despite trying the HDR-Fox T2 uClibc runtime and running it under qemu-mipsel. I've found... Read more

trog said: They cannot stop me adding a Manhattan Aero or a Pleo next to my Aura and I doubt they could if Humax had just a Freely box either. Click to expand... Yes, I am afraid it is closed ranks with all the providers - you will watch adverts unless you pay each of us a subscription! Exactly why they want Freely and no recording capabilities. I had a BT/EE TV subscription which ended in November I did not renew and tried a Manhattan T4-R which seemed OK although only twin recording available but I... Read more

Hello hummy... I have recorded many (Standard Definition) TV programmes using the HDR-1800T and transferred them to an external USB drive. Will those programmes be viewable if I connect that USB drive to a Humax HDR-2000T?
I'll kick-off with this from Wales Tourism: "Kenfig NNR is a favourite refuge for wildfoul all year round"
Hello, My HDR-1800T 500GB seems to have died after a few years. (It replaced a 320GB one which I luckily kept, and have gone back to!) The 500GB shows the blue light constantly, and will not respond to any input from the remote or front panel. It is not sending any TV to my screen, but does intermittently display the Humax splash screen. I have tried disconnecting / reconnecting it to the electricity, but it just goes straight back to 'blue light on - no response - no picture'. I am... Read more
My old Foxsat HDR has decided that it should automatically start at 5pm (17:00) and tune itself to Sky Mix HD. It comes fully on (blue light) rather than appearing to be some form of recording (red light). There are no reminders set. My Humax Freeview used to power up during the night to check for OTA updates but that was well-behaved and it would shut down cleanly (fixed with the custom firmware). Is this something similar? Has anyone else experienced this?
