After several years away, one of our most popular wagon ranges is making its long-awaited return. We're delighted to confirm that our APCM Cemflo wagons are back for a brand-new production run, with manufacturing now complete and the models entering the final stages before shipping. This latest batch focuses on the iconic pre-TOPS Metro Cammell-built Cemflo wagons, complete with their distinctive Blue Circle advertising boards—a combination that has long been requested by modellers looking to recreate the cement traffic of the 1960s and early 1970s. Production Complete Over the past few weeks we've carefully inspected the decorated production samples from our factory, checking everything from decoration application and printing quality to assembly and finish. We're pleased to report that the samples have met our expectations, with only the smallest of production tweaks required before giving the factory the green light. With the decorated samples now officially signed off, full production has been completed and the wagons are preparing for their journey from China. I've decided after a lot of back and forth to put Mullingar on hold until such time I have enough space for it all without significant compromise. I've decided to cut back to an L shaped end to end urbanish terminus layout based on the MGWR, ideally with a good bit of inspo from Mullingar itself. The two "legs" of the L are just over 12 foot, and both about 2 foot wide, though i can go out to 6 foot toward the end of one of the L legs. Moving a chest of drawers means I could have 15ft one of the legs. I have a turntable pit in the corner of the L. I've long been interested in Cyril Freezers iconic "Minories" track plan. (From Harlequin on RMweb) One aspect I would like to have which the traditional Minories lacks is a decent amount of freight. Freezer added a few "add ons" to Minories which can be seen here. The junction to the freight yard/wharf is very reminiscent of many of the MGWR terminis separate freight facilities. (From RMweb) I like the "idea" of this, but space would be the big factor here. I'm also trying to keep things from getting too large or complicated. Im more than happy to have freight at the terminus itself if it simplifies things and keeps them compact Much of the other half of the L would have to be taken up by the fiddle yard, of course. An 800 and 6 coaches (max length I'd go for) is pretty bang on 6 foot Thoughts would be appreciated!

It's been a long journey through the creation of our generic line of pre-grouping delights, but we're chuffed to confirm that our universe is now complete and our Genesis coaching stock has finished production! We're pleased to share the first images of the production samples—the finished models exactly as they'll be arriving with us before making their way to layouts and collections. From the outset, Genesis has been one of our most ambitious coaching stock projects to date. Despite having the tooling already created by those talented folks at the often missed Hattons Model Railways, they still require vast research and consideration. Covering a fascinating period of railway history and a huge variety of pre-grouping companies, these coaches must meet the standards you've come to expect from us when it comes to prototypical research and creating a believable and plausible variety of coaching stock, otherwise not viable in OO gauge Ready-to-Run format. Seeing the finished production models in front of us makes all that effort worthwhile. Better still, we're delighted to confirm that production is now complete. The coaches are now preparing for the next stage of their journey, with shipping underway shortly. Allowing for transit, customs and final quality checks before dispatch, we're currently expecting delivery to modellers in mid to late October. I have Ken's files, he gave me all his stuff;- research, drawings, print & etch files the week before he passed with the plan that I or someone would carry on his work. Unfortunately his family put restrictions on their use and I have not resolved the issue yet due to my own family & friends deaths over the last two years, It's just a nightmare! I'm currently building two of his test etch kits for his wife, he was working on 4 kits in his last days. When I have these finished I hope to sit down with her and resolve the issues. We also want to put up his research archive for open access but there is a huge amount of potential copyright issues with this- as all the folders are full of downloaded images from the internet!
