The release of Quadrant Modulator will be tomorrow around noon CET. (everything is prepared and ready, just some smoke-tests left). Yesterday I recorded a video just going through my personal presets and the factory presets using a pad from Partials & Discrepancies and the geometry delay and reverb afterwards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucppkRqpAHA (I am quite sure you haven't heard a ring modulator used in all those ways before) ... And... ...to be sincere, I can't sit like that for 20 minutes anymore and walk like normal after. My hips hurt like hell. But anything for the art.

I don't want to start the whole DAC thing again, but I've seen people who swear by them. This is a quote from here from 2014 about the built in DAC on the Korg Trinity VST : This is precisely why I don't like using DSP56300 emulators in projects. They don't feel like real instruments. Virus TI becomes an ordinary VSTi. Sure, something like PSP VintageWarmer could fix this, even the very simple TAL-DAC, but it still doesn't feel right. But there's also a note about the TAL DAC being a sampler DAC and not like one the was used on actual synths. There is something about cutting highs above 18k.

I give another example: the sentence I'm writing just now, with all its parts and structures, coming from me, and I assume it's original, especially if I write this and it takes a while to read it, that's copyrighted material. LLMs will take it and spew out it as their own, bypassing all copyright laws in existence. Same with music. Basically 21:th century stealing. PS: I don't make music for Spotify numbers or even money, I make music as an artform we humans like doing. PSS: And if someone thinks they could generate money from Spotify (or other streaming services) using Suno, I recommend them taking a day job, forget about any money from that penny-material. Or even recognition.

Shame about the k-station though. They've always lived in the shadow of the supernovas but they're good little synths in their own right and sound great IMO. They sound almost identical after a tiny bit of high shelf reduction I noticed that with the Waldorf stuff as well. You cut a bit of the highs, and they sound like the old stuff. Well, almost. I think most of the sound "improvements" have been in the high registers/more hi-fi sound. Which can tend to be a bit sharp/harsh, and less "airy".

It’s CPU heavy, but sounds lovely (IMO). I wouldn’t be able to compare it but it has character and can be pushed in pleasant ways. Many under the hood tweaks that I’m still exploring. Here’s more on Sound Techniques studio. There’s more info on their own page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_Techniques Also Warm Audio announced their hardware version same day. https://warmaudio.com/sound-techniques-jude-preamp

I'd rather a KStation clone, I mean the VStation UI is right there. I think it would be easier on CPU. I hear the Blue thing will chew up your CPU and spit it in your face while laughing maniacally. As far as I understood it, the developers aren't exactly huge fans of the K-Station (the question about it came up on their Discord. Let's wait and see how the performance of the big one is. But, yeah, Novation really took the cake with the gazillion of DSPs in the Supernova. I read that the guys at Waldorf scratched their heads over why Novation needed so much processing power in those synths. Because they're badass! In all seriousness, TBF the Supernova2 is capable of doing a lot just with one layer, let alone layering different patches in multitimbral mode, each part with it's own set of (6...?) effects, crazy arpeggiators etc. I'm far from being a technical expert but there's a lot going on. Does it warrant that many DSP chips.... who knows! Shame about the k-station though. They've always lived in the shadow of the supernovas but they're good little synths in their own right and sound great IMO. They sound almost identical after a tiny bit of high shelf reduction

I forgot to mention that Suno and similar users' prompt content is not copyright protected, as per US Supreme Court, as it's not legally considered original content. Anyone could rip that, even clone it and sell it as their own. Nobody. Cares. At. All. This is the standard ladies, either you can do this or you can't. If you can, I can see no reason why you are afraid to post it here and tell us all about your struggles with getting past 20k monthly listeners on Spotify. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcVJrul4sOA
