How to determine neck bushing size

Ive gone around and around and around trying to help a friend determine what neck bushing size he needs. I sent him photos of how to measure his loaded cases and he ordered a bushing that was to big. He called L E Wilson and they explained it to him. He told me they didn't know what they are talking about

Prairie Dog Rifle Question…

I recently upgraded my 22-250 to a 22 Creedmoor. I was strongly thinking about getting into prairie dog hunting. My question is, how often do y'all go through barrels? It seems like some guys shoot 800-1000rds in a day hunting PDs and I'm pretty sure at that rate a barrel would be close to toast after a couple days or so… am I wrong? If if I'm right though, this may be a more expensive idea than I originally thought! LoL

What rifle would you build?

Interested in getting ideas from the crowd for a rifle build for the 2025 hunting season. Intended use is mostly Whitetails in TX and pronghorn if the gods of the draw allow it. Distance: 600 and in. Desired Barrel length: 18 inches to shoot suppressed Desired muzzle velocity: 2800-2900 or faster. Desired bullets: any heavy x caliber cup&core bullet, Berger, ELDs and the like. I'd leave monometal bullets out of the equation here. Thanks

17 remington brass from 204

I been trying to make 17 Remington brass from 204. I'm not getting it right. The bolt won't close. The only thing I can notice is the shoulder is tapered more on real 17 rem brass then what I'm trying to form. I been using a reading 17 rem forming die then a 17 rem form and trim die then a 17 rem f/l sizing die. Reding told me to just screw there forming dies tight to the shell holder it has not worked and I have tried it backing it off and going tighter what am I missing

Another 3 down with the 308 Winchester

Came out earlier in the evening and spooked these pigs because I wasn't paying attention. Came back out an hour and a half later and jumped them. First shot was 50ish yards. Last shot was 80ish yards. All of them must be from the same litter. I believe I jumped these a few days ago and only got one of them that day. Pigs were maybe 40-50lbs. 150gr SST at 2680fps lays them out.

Left hand 300 wm

Looking left handed 300wm Prefer Browning x-bolt Christian arms mesa Send info / pics 540-476-0841 Thanks

Trainer Rifle Options

Hey - new to the forum and to shooting rifles. I'm building a simple Tikka 223 trainer rifle. I've seen references to being able to do a build where you can essentially just swap out the bolt face and barrel to convert that same rifle to a larger caliber hunting rifle, and swap back easily when you're not hunting. For now I'm just going to shoot the tikka with the factory stock. But as I build it out I want to eventually be able to do this conversion. What do I need to think... Read more
