Let’s see your camping setups! Drop a photo of your rig in camp mode.

Hi guys, here’s my setup so far in camp mode for my F150 : Wild Land Wingman X tent (fully automatic opening and closing) , 270° awning, shower tent, AW roof rack, ladder, pull-out awning, and Tri-Trek roof box. Still looking for the right set of wheels to complete the exterior look I’m going for. Pretty happy with how it’s coming together so far!

Gobi Stealth Roof Rack w/Ladder - 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited $1300.00

I upgraded to a 2019 Rubicon, and am selling my barely used (12 month old) Gobi Stealth Roof Rack with light bar mount. It's in perfect condition. Has never carried gear (unfortunately). Has all of the mounting gear and includes the rear ladder. Will let it go for $1600.00. Paid $1900 and had to wait 6 months to get it. Was ordered in July 2018, installed in Dec 2018, and came off in Jan 2020. Needs to be picked up in Woodland Hills, CA. Ready to be sold now... Read more

Unusual Rack Extension?

Hello! I'm an infrequent visitor, but still manage to gain inspiration from the overlanding community. I introduced myself years ago as a "microlander" since I travel with a focus on utility in my small car (but no off-roading) . I started carrying my roof rack full-time in 2021 due to my ham radio pursuits. I have a "naked" roof, so my rack uses clips at the doors instead of it being a real bolt-thru rack. It's been great, but sometimes I wish it was longer and had a third... Read more

How to determine "ground clearance" for a rig?

I see there are roads labeled for high clearance vehicles. What is the definition of "high clearance"? What are the measuring points to determine ground clearance? Is it from the ground to the lower shock mount or to the bottom of the rear diff or simply find the lowest looking point of your vehicle and measure to the ground?
