Does anyone else's parrot love to drop things on the floor so that they can go down and play. I always thought birds preferred to stay up high but chester loves the floor and the floor of his cage

Juliette Helena Goldberry is home! She is settling in and after a quiet afternoon of adjusting joined the evening's movie with enthusiastic commentary. She then fell asleep and assumed the persona of a furry snoozing pickle. I will post pictures soon!
Showed up in my recommended. Very cool
Ok so I have been worried about the colour of Chester's beak, when I first got him his beak was bright red all over but is now changing colour. His bottom beak is going black which i think is normal but now his top beak is going back too. Well.i decided to Google this and everything I'm reading says that the top part of his beak should not be going black if he is an IRN and that he could be ill. He is moulting but is eating, drinking and being his mischievous self.when out. Could chester be... Read more

I have another post going rn about wing clipping...but it has quickly turned into I'm not clipping him. I think at this point clipping is pointless. (& I absolutely hate doing it anyway! Birds are birds they should fly!) My little Yoshi is clipped already anyway & can fly like he's not clipped at all. That said, I feel like this is a better place to direct this conversation. Since it seems he can fly no matter what. I'm leaning hard towards giving up clipping him again. I'd much rather... Read more

Questions in bold text. My little Yoshi is insanely good at flying! I've clipped his wings once by myself. He ran up into my neck & just stayed there. The next time didnt go that way. I had to have help. & now he's even worse. Help with holding a wiggle worm please!! ! The first time I showed him a towel he immediately freaked out. I'm not a big fan of using towels...my other bird i just sit on my leg & she watches like no big deal. Yoshi hates the towel. Full panic the second... Read more

This marks Claire’s got you date. I could not take her cage. It had no rollers or wheels so would be impossible to move on the wooden floor. I’m using a cage I bought through Facebook a few years ago. Got her home (the farm) late around 6:30 pm. Just now starting to unwind. Laughing. Kissing noises. Dog winning. Said “what are you doing “ Doesn’t want to go in the cage yet, hopefully soon to eat and drink. First picture at “home”. In the background you can see the award my father got from... Read more
